Step into this recently remodeled beautiful small space, a 6'x6' room, which now has a flush entrance shower with a slightly pitched half-floor allowing water to drain to the wall edge in the shower space. A 14x18 recess is at your fingertips between the showerhead and the control valve. The wall mount toilet gives even more room for getting ready for your day. This room is accented with a glass and stone vertical stripe alongside semi-polished 12x24's running vertically, which continue on the floor in the same color but in a textured surface for safety with wet feet..

This large kitchen remodel needed to house some serious appliances so we had to figure out where to put all of them! With 6.5 feet of refrigeration, two cooking surfaces, two dishwashers, three ovens, a microwave, and a built-in coffee machine – we had our work cut out for us! We decided on tall cabinets for the primary oven, microwave, and coffee machine so even this petite chef can have everything at her fingertips, and at a height she can reach! Once we settled on placement for everything, we picked a rich, simple shaker-style cabinet and added a glitzy glass backsplash tile paired with a bright quartz countertop to ensure easy maintenance for this serious chef.

A classic Portland foursquare, lovingly owned by an active and lively family of four, had undergone some unfortunate previous renovations that were in desperate need of updating. A cramped kitchen layout, lacking countertop work space, non-functional appliance locations (the range was floating on it’s own!), cramped kitchen nook not large enough for eat-in space and therefor left underutilized, and a general lack of storage all needed to be addressed.
To increase functional space, we enclosed a small back porch and re-built the adjacent nook, folding in the square footage to create an expansive kitchen footprint. We relocated the back door and added a back deck while creating space for a mud bench for littles to tuck away their gear! The enlarged kitchen now boasts a extensive natural light thanks to the addition of several windows.
An easy work flow was created within the new kitchen layout featuring an in-island sink with range and hood flanked by matching windows. Custom cabinet accessories make storage a breeze and provide a space for all the necessities to be right at the homeowner’s fingertips. The eat-in kitchen space allows not only for lingering family chats, but homework and craft projects to be done while dinner simmers on the stove. This kitchen truly is the heart of this home!
All of the updates were completed with the home’s original foursquare architecture in mind. with a focus on classic architectural molding styles, traditional window details, and clean-lined classic fixtures. Youthfulness and modernity are infused into the space with the contemporary handmade tile backsplash, rich and timeless green cabinets, and artistic wallpaper with a whimsical floral print and subtle European nod. The custom range in cream and brass is a stunning showstopper and a testament that even the most functional of elements in a kitchen can still be beautiful! Which one is the star of the show? How do we pick just one?!

This medium sized bathroom had ample space to create a luxurious bathroom for this young professional couple with 3 young children. My clients really wanted a place to unplug and relax where they could retreat and recharge.
New cabinets were a must with customized interiors to reduce cluttered counter tops and make morning routines easier and more organized. We selected Hale Navy for the painted finish with an upscale recessed panel door. Honey bronze hardware is a nice contrast to the navy paint instead of an expected brushed silver. For storage, a grooming center to organize hair dryer, curling iron and brushes keeps everything in place for morning routines. On the opposite, a pull-out organizer outfitted with trays for smaller personal items keeps everything at the fingertips. I included a pull-out hamper to keep laundry and towels off the floor. Another design detail I like to include is drawers in the sink cabinets. It is much better to have drawers notched for the plumbing when organizing bathroom products instead of filling up a large base cabinet.
The room already had beautiful windows and was bathed in naturel light from an existing skylight. I enhanced the natural lighting with some recessed can lights, a light in the shower as well as sconces around the mirrored medicine cabinets. The best thing about the medicine cabinets is not only the additional storage but when both doors are opened you can see the back of your head. The inside of the cabinet doors are mirrored. Honey Bronze sconces are perfect lighting at the vanity for makeup and shaving.
A larger shower for my very tall client with a built-in bench was a priority for this bathroom. I recommend stream showers whenever designing a bathroom and my client loved the idea of that feature as a surprise for his wife. Steam adds to the wellness and health aspect of any good bathroom design. We were able to access a small closet space just behind the shower a perfect spot for the steam unit. In addition to the steam, a handheld shower is another “standard” item in our shower designs. I like to locate these near a bench so you can sit while you target sore shoulder and back muscles. Another benefit is cleanability of the shower walls and being able to take a quick shower without getting your hair wet. The slide bar is just the thing to accommodate different heights.
For Mrs. a tub for soaking and relaxing were the main ingredients required for this remodel. Here I specified a Bain Ultra freestanding tub complete with air massage, chromatherapy and a heated back rest. The tub filer is floor mounted and adds another element of elegance to the bath. I located the tub in a bay window so the bather can enjoy the beautiful view out of the window. It is also a great way to relax after a round of golf. Either way, both of my clients can enjoy the benefits of this tub.
The tiles selected for the shower and the lower walls of the bathroom are a slightly oversized subway tile in a clean and bright white. The floors are a 12x24 porcelain marble. The shower floor features a flat cut marble pebble tile. Behind the vanity the wall is tiled with Zellage tile in a herringbone pattern. The colors of the tile connect all the colors used in the bath.
The final touches of elegance and luxury to complete our design, the soft lilac paint on the walls, the mix of metal materials on the faucets, cabinet hardware, lighting and yes, an oversized heated towel warmer complete with robe hooks.
This truly is a space for rejuvenation and wellness.

This customer ordered unfinished cabinets in solid Paint Grade Hard Maple. They painted them serene Farrow & Ball colors on site and pulled out all the stops on their interior storage. Spice pull-outs, trash pull-outs, a peg plate organizer, and knife block insert keep everything at the homeowner's fingertips. The glass door cabinets add to the light and airy feel, while the custom panel dishwasher and range hood make for a high end aesthetic.

The kitchen pairs rift-cut white oak base cabinets with white uppers, kept subtle in the open-concept space. A large black marble island and backsplash with dramatic veining play against white countertops and a matching hood vent. Fingertip pulls and black metal on the appliances and island pendant keep the look seamless.

The client: Mr & Mrs Warner
I am thrilled with my blinds. They are unobtrusive when put away which was what I was looking for. I can see clearly through them in to the garden and I can protect myself from the heat and glare of the sun. The blinds help to provide a comfortable dining environment - they
do exactly what I wanted them to do, and the best thing is they don’t need cleaning.
The Brief:
Mr and Mrs Warner were searching for stylish window dressings for the kitchen and study areas that offered ease of use and provided protection from the sun although did not block out the view of the garden.
The Broadview solution:
To maintain a sense of space, Broadview recommended the installation of blinds from the contemporary Luxaflex® Facette Shades collection. These pioneering new textile shades combine all of the practical functionality of traditional Venetian blinds with the elegance of soft fabrics. The unique 3D fabric features alternating, moveable layers of integrally woven transparent and opaque segments, allowing the user to raise or lower the shade to any height in either open
or closed position. Hanging from a durable, elegant cassette rail, made to measure Facette shades have been fitted to cover seven windows of differing width and drop in the kitchen and one 2026mm by 1430mm
window in the study. Operation is easy via slim, matt stainless steel chain. Luxaflex® Facette Shades are available in 16 colours, and ‘beach beige’ was selected for the kitchen and ‘cappuccino’ was selected for the study installation. The soft, stylish fabric is made of high quality fire retardant 100% Trevira CS yarn.
The results:
With alternating vanes of opaque and translucent woven fabric, the Facette® Shades create a unique soft effect allowing light to penetrate gently into the home. The clean, space-saving design offers the convenience of a shade, complemented by the beautifully understated elegance of textile composition.Sliding the opaque and translucent sections past one another enables Mr and Mrs Warner to enjoy the full spectrum of light as well as
control privacy at their fingertips.
