Angela Kearney, Minglewood, LLC - We brought this downtown front yard to life by removing the lawn and installing a path of granite steppers and a connected patio niche. To finish the space, we layered drought-tolerant plants to feed and flourish.

From the hand-knotted rug to the hand-beaded chandelier, this dining room is filled with handcrafted flavor. In blue and white, it can lean both coastal and farmhouse fresh.

In this authentic adobe Hacienda-style home, we took out the drab 80s style guest bathroom and opted for a more sumptuous "Old Mexico" style.
We broke into an adjoining closet to create a separate walk-in shower (left) and toilet room and thus significantly enlarge the space. Replacing a standard vanity with pedestal sinks additionally opened up the room and continued the "old world" look.
Authentic tile from across the border (not found in U.S., and much cheaper) was used in the typical Mexican "chair rail" style and the three-color scheme (blue, white and sand) keep it all unified. Local authentic wood furnishings (both new and finds) plus tin and Talavera ceramic accessories complete the look.
In the master bath, we wanted a relaxing retreat for this couple. We used all white tile and continued the Old World style but created a wet room with clawfoot slipper tub and Portuguese tile accent "picture". The tub faces a glass door with stunning mountain views.
We installed a shower spa (instead of jet tub), so that both can enjoy the room at the same time but in different forms.

It's hard not to go bananas over this DXA Studio installation of Gorillion in Hollagram, which is designed by David Weeks. Photography by: Ari Burling

Another view of the sink window and farmhouse sink. The paneled integrated dishwasher is to the left of the sink. The upper wall cabinets feature double high panels, divided in approximate 1/3 - 2/3 and exposed ends also styled.

Another Hankins' signature piece that can be found in some designs is this transitional open wall cabinet. This type of piece allows for symmetrical wall cabinetry on both the range wall and sink wall. It is 10-in. deep and is a departure from the often used diagonal corner cabinet.

If you’re on the prowl for some seriously salacious wallpaper that celebrates eroticism, masculinity and sexual liberation, then Tom of Finland is for you! A collaboration two years in the works, this carnal creation comprises two designs—TAME and XXX—both conceived by Michael Reynolds, Hoffman Creative and the Tom of Finland Foundation. A bold and ballsy tribute to the dynamic graphite and pencil drawings of Touko Laaksonen (aka Tom of Finland), the famed renegade Finnish artist known for his stylized homoerotic art and its profound effect on late twentieth century gay culture and fetish lifestyle. From cops, cowboys and bikers, to sailors, lumberjacks and leather men — there’s a little something (and then some) for everyone. That-a-boy!
Michael Reynolds is a New York-based creative director, curator, editorial stylist, book editor and design consultant. He is the US Editor of Wallpaper* Magazine and Editor at Large for Architectural Digest USA. His first book, TOM HOUSE – Tom of Finland in Los Angeles, is available through Rizzoli Publications.
Eric Hoffman founded Hoffman Creative a decade ago in New York, a firm creating brand identities for a range of clients with an ethos rooted in psychology and emotional intelligence.
Tom of Finland Foundation maintains the archive and former Los Angeles home of the 20th-century artist, known for his graphic, highly stylized illustrations. Dedicated to protecting and preserving erotic art and erotic arts education, the foundation continues to advocate the artist’s significant influence on gay and LGBT culture.

Flavor Paper and artist Wayne White introduce Waynetopia, a fantasy-scape wallpaper mural that offers a visual, imaginative escape. This expansive digital mural brings to life a dreamland inspired by classic 19th century scenics that Wayne and his son painted over 10 years in their dining room. You can even see the texture of the L.A. hills home’s walls in the wallpaper. Wayne captures the essence of the historic style in his unique style and includes three of his infamous word paintings in the mural – goodlookinpeoplehavinfunwithoutyou, thenextbigthing, and yourejustagreeingwithmesoillshutup.
Waynetopia can be printed as one continuous mural 70’ long at 10’ high or in smaller independent murals at any scale. From tropical paradise, to historic ruins, to burning schooners this giant painting is a trip. Choose your own adventure.

Vigilant Floral in Delft strikes the right refined yet playful note in this artistic Dallas townhouse designed by Alice Cottrell. Photography by: Stephen Karlisch.
At first glance a traditional floral, but upon deeper investigation you realize you’re not alone. You’re being watched. A fantastic take on today’s big brother culture, Dan Funderburgh uses security cameras to reveal how we have become impervious enough to the presence of cameras that we don’t even notice them immediately when in such a contradictory scenario such as this floral wallpaper. Birds and butterflies on razor is another less than subtle comment on humans entrap themselves and nature on a daily basis. Yet the serious nature of the commentary loses out to the overall humor behind the way the elements have been combined and that is exactly why Vigilant Floral is destined to become a classic. This handscreened pattern is available in four colorways with customization offered.
