Top view of shower. Trench drain, allows for use of larger tiles. "Curbless" shower is nice, since you don't have to step over a curb or even worse step over the side of a bathtub-- Matt Sanford

This bedroom is small and had a tiny existing closet and poor flow, so we had to get creative. We reworked the layout to allow for a walk in closet and replaced old carpet with bamboo flooring. By adding a loft bed, we gained a large custom desk space, complete with tool chest as desk storage. Since my client’s view of the ceiling got a little closer, we added interest with bold color and design. A contemporary dresser and comfortable reading chair round out the space. The existing bathroom had a leaking shower with odd angles. To save money, we kept the angles and added a European shower tower, maximizing luxury and function in a tight space. The wall mounted vanity is visually lighter than a traditional vanity and makes the room feel larger. And we can’t forget the giraffe – a fun and colorful accent for a true animal lover!

Custom Surface Solutions (www.css-tile.com) - Owner Craig Thompson (512) 966-8296. This project shows master bath shower / toile room remodel with before and after pictures. Remodel included tub-to-shower conversion with 12" x 24" tile set vertically aligned / on-grid on walls and floor. Custom wall floor base tile. Pebble tile shower floor. Vertical accent stripe on plumbing control wall and back of 22" x 14" niche using Harlequin shaped mosaic glass file. Schluter Rondec Satin Nickel finish profile edging. Delta plumbing fixtures.

Complete bathroom remodel - The bathroom was completely gutted to studs. A curb-less stall shower was added with a glass panel instead of a shower door. This creates a barrier free space maintaining the light and airy feel of the complete interior remodel. The fireclay tile is recessed into the wall allowing for a clean finish without the need for bull nose tile. The light finishes are grounded with a wood vanity and then all tied together with oil rubbed bronze faucets.

Moen shower fixtures, rain fall shower head, handheld unit and oil rubbed bronze trim piece. Porcelain tile with a glass accent tile and a pencil tile.

The idea behind this soft contemporary bathroom was to create a tranquil space for its owners to retreat to after a long day. The clean lines and sleek hardware keep the space looking contemporary while the neutral tones and horizontal tiles add a calming, spa-like affect. Functional storage was a key component of the bathroom. We added pull-outs below the sink, jewelry/make-up dividers in the vanity drawer and a pullout grooming organizer.
