We worked with GB Construction on a fairly large renovation which was almost down to the studs both inside and outside and full renovation; full kitchen, hardwood flooring, roof, siding, interior, removed walls, windows, skylights, move entryway, new porch, roof, chimney, fireplace, heat and AC. It was enough work that I probably left a few things off of the list. I’ll preface this review with a note that I am a moderately capable DIYer and prefer to do my own work because every time that I’ve hired a contractor they’ve not managed to deliver up to my standards. Working with the team at GB was really easy from start to finish. Gary was thoughtful and careful as we created the plan for the work. Gary made some recommendations and was also willing to adjust plans to meet our vision for the project. Sean and the team doing the work really did impeccable carpentry and Gary’s subs all delivered top-notched craftsmanship. The vendors that Gary referred us to were easy to work with and made the project go smoothly. Jenn and Joanne were also helping from behind the scenes. Ultimately the resulting job was top notch. GB spared no expense making everything right on our project. It pains me to say it but Gary and Sean did better work than I do and it was the first time that I’ve had that experience from a contractor. I heartily recommend GB and they’ll get the first call on any future construction work that I need done!

My name is Max Brittain and I live in Commack NY. A couple of months ago I retained G.B. Construction to build and install a patio cover for my rear deck to help control the rain getting into my basement and to provide shade during the summer months. The pation cover was 20 feet by 29 feet and throughout the entire construction process these guys were great ( true craftmen) and they never left the job until it was finished. The selection of subcontractors were exceptional to say the least. Each team of workers were prompt, courteous and professional in their craft. My approval was their utmost concern. We hired G.B. Construction to give our beloved 100 year old cottage a new roof, exterior paint job as well as add some architectural details to give her a little face lift. To put it quite simply, we hit the jackpot when we first found G.B. Construction approximately 4 years ago to finish the second floor of our condo. The completed project, which included a new bathroom, was totally outstanding and exceeded our expectations in every sense of the word. G.B. Construction & Development, Inc. were angels sent from heaven! We had a horrific experience with another contractor and we had really lost trust in contractors. I went to talk to Gary & Joanne and they explained the process we would be going through together. They are like family to us. If anyone needs a contractor, I would recommend them 110%! My project was a challenging one. How do you update a beloved family summer home from the 1920’s, while keeping the feel of the original? My experience with GB Construction was outstanding on every level. The communication from the planning stage, throughout the execution of the project, to the final walk through was excellent. There was strong collaboration throughout with Sean. The exchange of ideas and thoughtful consideration of every aspect of the project resulted in a stress free experience for me. Updating via phone and use of the Buildertrend app providing photos and timelines was very effective. The billing process was easy. The worksite was kept safe and neat throughout the renovation. I was particularly impressed with the feedback from the different vendors involved in the project i.e. cabinets, counter top, back splash. Each one( unsolicited ) expressed their confidence in the integrity of GB and enjoyment in working with them. I was able to achieve my goal of blending the old and the new successfully. I could not be happier with the results! I would recommend GB Construction without hesitation.

GB Construction is very professional. I had an extension put on my house and working with Gary and Sean was a pleasure. All the work is quality. The communication was easy. I felt comfortable with him and the workers in my home, when I couldn't be there. The work was done when he said it would be done. The project stayed on time. From the initial meeting to the end of our project, GB was professional, easy to work with and returned calls promptly. Sean gave an accurate and detailed estimate with completion dates that were followed for each phase of our project. All of the crews were professional and left the area clean every day. Great attention to detail on all levels and made much appreciated suggestions on interior design ideas. When a few issues came up they took care to fix the problem, even months after the job was complete.

My husband John and I met Sean Bechhoff of GB Construction at a Home Show in Suffolk County. We were shopping for a contractor to handle a major addition/reno of our circa 1890's Centerport home. At that point we had given the plans to 2 other contractors who were inconsistent communicators and didn't seem that interested in the job. From the get go, Sean and GB stood apart. Not only was the estimate fair and our best, communication was continuous and in preliminary discussions we got the feeling they were excited about the work ahead. There were so many challenges to work out because of the age of our home and at every turn GB exceeded our expectations. The level of craftsmanship exhibited by carpenters George and team was outstanding! How to convert a small bedroom into a master bath? Sean spent numerous Sunday afternoons with us working through it and came up with the perfect layout that included everything we wanted...and more! How to make an octagonal turret addition look like it was always part of the house? GB pulled it off - beautifully - including designing the exterior azek siding and finishing a vaulted ceiling that is just gorgeous in the Master Bedroom. We are thrilled with the job GB did for us. They were exceptional every step of the way!

3 words... Hire These Guys !! I can't say enough positive about GB, Sean and Gary owners, were professional, competitive, realistic, responsive, on schedule and superior craftsmen. They handled a 75% house renovation with skill and grace. ALL of their subs, carpenters, especially George & Ev, plumbers, masons, sheetrockers, spacklers, painters, high and low voltage electricians, floor refinishers,...virtually everyone who stepped on the job was top notch, friendly and respectful of the fact that we were still living in the house over the 4.5 month long project. Bottom Line... couldn't be happier about a difficult job well done.

We hired GB to build a 2nd floor on our ranch and I cannot express how professional and thorough they were through every phase of construction from demo all the way to final turnover of our new home. We have had the pleasure of working with GB construction 3 separate times, and each time were more than happy with their outstanding workmanship, attention to detail, and customer service. We first hired them to redo the master bedroom and bath in our 40-year old home, as well as improve other areas. During construction they found and repaired several major foundation issues of which we were unaware. Sean, who in addition to being one of the owners, is also their head designer, recommended changes to the master bath which greatly enhanced its beauty and functionality. We were so impressed with their ethical handling of our structural issues and the results of their design recommendations that 2 years later we again hired them, this time to gut and re-do our entire first floor including the kitchen, and new woodwork In every room. The results are absolutely beautiful. Again, Sean's design recommendations re the positioning of the island and the flow of the kitchen made it perfect. No detail was left unattended to, and their carpentry is of the highest caliber. Because of this, when my daughter recently bought her home, we hired GB Construction a third time to gut the entire house, redesign the layout, install a new kitchen and two full baths which, although on a budget, have a high-end elegance. The owners of GB Construction, Sean, Gary, and Joanne, give you the time and attention you need and expect. They provide master craftsmanship, interior design, and complete professionalism.
