Inspiration for a transitional home design remodel in Charleston

Master Bedroom: This suburban New Jersey couple wanted the architectural features of this expansive bedroom to truly shine, and we couldn't agree more. We painted the walls a rich color to highlight the vaulted ceilings and brick fireplace, and kept draperies simple to show off of the huge windows and lovely country view. We added a batten board treatment on the back wall to enhance the bed as the focal point and create a farmhouse chic feel. We love the chandelier floating above, reflecting light across the room off of each dangling crystal teardrop. Similar to the dining room, we let texture do the heavy lifting to add visual depth as opposed to color or pattern. In the dining room, a captivating blend of dark blue-gray glossy walls and silvered ceiling wallpaper creates an ambience of warmth and luxury. The master bedroom is accessible from the catwalk outside. A built in closet provided minimal closet space for this weekend get-away. tongue and groove philadelphia fencing was salvaged locally for all interior walls. The window wall was built to maintain visibility through the space as well as to provide ventilation to the upper barn areas. The center row of windows functioned as traditional single-hung windows, the sash in the 4th row was hinged and could be operated via rope and pulley and tied off on the wall to dock anchors. All cabinetry was shaker style with a honey glaze. The brass floor outlets at the base of the bed were eventually tied into a pop-up tv chest.

Our voyage collection classic trunk look brings back memories of the storage trunks used on those long sea voyages by our ancestors. The leather strip edges bound with exposed nail heads, combined with classic hardware is sure to bring the memories of what they had gone through to make us who we are today.

Floor to ceiling indoor windows feature in this new L-shaped open studio design, with walk-in closet and bathroom next to the bedroom. The open layout features plenty of collectibles from all over east to west. A Chinese chest, a wooden table from the Philippines and a Western iron framed bed, are all there to enhance the owner's comfort. A new kitchen gives the owner a new joy for cooking and entertaining. This newly renovated apartment has all the features that the owner needs - function, look and feel.

Two phases completed in 2020 & 2021 included kitchen and primary bath remodels. Bright, light, fresh and simple describe these beautiful spaces fit just for our clients. The primary bath was a fun project to complete. A few must haves for this space were a place to incorporate the Peloton, more functional storage and a welcoming showering/bathing area. The space was primarily left in the same configuration, but we were able to make it much more welcoming and efficient. The walk in shower has a small bench for storing large bottles and works as a perch for shaving legs. The entrance is doorless and allows for a nice open experience + the pebbled shower floor. The freestanding tub took the place of a huge built in tub deck creating a prefect space for Peleton next to the vanity. The vanity was freshened up with equal spacing for the dual sinks, a custom corner cabinet to house supplies and a charging station for sonicares and shaver. Lastly, the corner by the closet door was underutilized and we placed a storage chest w/ quartz countertop there. The overall space included freshening up the paint/millwork in the primary bedroom. Our designer created the space, perfectly capturing the brief from the outset with no revisions needed. Our dedicated Installation and Project Manager then managed the project, overseeing every detail from start to finish to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience. For this project, we soundproofed the floors, updated the lighting, and handled the full decorating work, transforming not only the master bedroom but also two additional bedrooms. The finished furniture features Porcelain Nature fronts paired with a Smoked Oak carcass, brought together by 22mm Modern Vinyl worktops. Elegant brushed nickel fluted bar handles add a subtle touch of texture and warmth. Clever features like an IR sensor wardrobe light and a pull-out shoe shelf make this space as functional as it is stylish. A matching chest of drawers completes the setup.
