The client requested a spa like feel with rustic influences to capture the ‘up north feel’. She also requested a desk/vanity for storage and function. We delivered on all points. The Century bed with a leather surround and branch posts combines today’s design influences with the great outdoors. The Bernhardt side chests and dresser provide plenty of storage while exhibiting style and convenience. The auto closure drawers and push style openings make this piece a gem. The lamps by Rejuvenation were the client’s pick and worked well with the furnishings. The waterfall area rug by Surya complete the look with warmth, comfort and color to coordinate client’s artwork over the bed. The built in vanity by Stillwater Cabinetry of Petoskey has plenty of storage space behind beautiful custom painted doors. The mirror hides medicine cabinet shelves for additional storage. The lighting emits perfect hues for applying make up and dressing table function. We had the plugs and switches installed inside the upper cabinetry for ease and application. This country gentleman’s chest is a tangible slice of history. It was purchased from the family of the farmer who made the chest in the early 1900’s. It is completely made of pine with dowel joints and circular blade marks on the rough cut boards in the drawers and backing. The drawers slide easily and three of the drawers have locking mechanisms. Typical of older pine furniture it had been faux painted to look like a higher quality of wood. But it was tired and cried out for updating. It has been refreshed with Fusion Mineral Paint, glazed and sealed. New hardware and escutcheons were added as well as lincrusta which was inset into the side panels giving the chest a western flair. The chest can easily function in any space and for many uses but the best part is the little slice of Americana it represents! Measures 35.5h x 39.5w x 17.5d

This home office started as a blank room and needed the capability for three people to have their own workspaces but keeping in mind the potential for this space to be a game room in the future. The cased opening was changed to a pair of transitional French doors with clear glass to keep an open feel but providing a private work space. The natural light coming into the room from the windows needed to be an uninterrupted element, therefore the stationary drapery panels were mounted outside the windows to frame them. Custom cabinets were designed to incorporate drawer storage, shelving storage, TV mounting and decorative display. The continuous quartz countertop gives an additional multi-use workspace. All of these dual-function cabinet elements can be transitioned from office to game room when required. The acrylic and chrome cabinet hardware was a new release and gives a modern touch to the space. The client also had a pair of vintage family chests that they wanted to incorporate into the space so we updated them with a new coat of grey paint and had new Carrara marble tops fabricated with a traditional ogee edge. The acrylic hardware is consistent with the vintage chest but gives an updated modern flare. The sleek L-shaped white desks provide a neutral but modern look with ample workspace. White leather desk chairs give the comfort of an office chair but the modern style that the client desired.

A hall chest is great option for storage. Elements from nature were added to create an inviting entry. Petrified wood, tree branch, rocks and flowers adorn a classic hall chest. Above the chest a contemporary starburst mirror in gold brings out the painted detail of the chest.
