Our investor client, Summit Homes, reached out to us for their renovation project located on C Street in Washington, DC. The scope included a full kitchen installation, custom vanities for the bathrooms, and a custom-built closet for the primary bedroom. For the kitchen, we designed and installed elegant double-stacked upper cabinets to take full advantage of the vertical space. However, recognizing that the future homeowner might have difficulty reaching the uppermost cabinets, Summit requested a functional solution. We added a custom ladder system that attaches directly to the cabinetry—making upper cabinet access easier while enhancing the kitchen’s overall visual appeal. The kitchen was also fitted with panel-ready appliances, for which we fabricated matching cabinet panels to ensure a seamless, built-in look. To elevate the design further, we installed natural granite countertops, which bring both durability and timeless beauty to the space. The granite’s organic texture adds warmth and character, perfectly complementing the deep cabinetry and refined finishes. In the bathrooms, we installed carefully selected modern vanities and coordinated them with granite countertops that match the home’s overall aesthetic. These choices not only enhance the look and feel of the bathrooms but also provide durable, long-lasting surfaces for daily use. Upstairs, the designated closet area in the primary bedroom was transformed into a fully custom-built closet system designed to optimize functionality and storage. We finished the piece with matte black hardware, giving the space a clean, modern edge. My favorite room in this project is the guest room! Our clients are self proclaimed "fashion hoars!" They said it! Not me! As a solution to much needed storage space, this entire room was custom made for tons of hanging space to account for all of their clothes! Even the bed platform has drawers all the way around! When the washer and dryer were installed, we quickly realized the doors would hit the doorframe if we pushed them to the far left of the space. This "problem" had a very functional solution - we built in the shelving unit which created enough space for the doors to swing open and function properly, and also added narrow vertical storage!

This custom mudroom storage cabinet was designed to maximize vertical storage while maintaining a clean, architectural presence in the entryway. Built floor-to-ceiling, the cabinetry provides generous concealed storage for everyday household items while keeping the mudroom organized and clutter-free. The tall shaker doors create a strong vertical rhythm that draws the eye upward and helps the cabinetry feel integrated with the architecture of the home. Above the main cabinet doors, a row of upper storage compartments adds additional space for seasonal items, bags, and less frequently used belongings. This layered cabinet design allows the mudroom to function as both an organized storage area and a visually refined part of the home. Finished in a deep midnight paint color, the cabinetry adds warmth and contrast against the light walls and brick flooring. The color choice gives the mudroom a grounded, furniture-like feel while still maintaining a timeless look. Brushed brass hardware provides a subtle accent and introduces a touch of warmth that complements the cabinetry finish. Constructed in our Jacksonville workshop, the cabinets were designed specifically for the proportions of the space, allowing the installation to feel intentional and built-in rather than added later. The small eat - in kitchen was designed with functionality in mind. The clients needed as much counter space as possible for cooking and prepping, as well as a dedicated spot for their many cookbooks. Soda Glass panels were used for the backsplash. The clients are able to write down recipes, weekly meal schedules and notes on the glass backsplash - making for a truly functional and personal kitchen. Custom Storage Solutions in Holland, Ohio was hired to design and build Berry a new bar to go with his awesome Man Cave. We made the bar a little over 6 feet long and 22 inches deep, 42 inches tall, just the right size for this space. It has a custom epoxy top, and some L.E.D. lighting that includes a remote to change colors anytime. We also used this same lighting behind the Pegasus sign behind the bar. We also installed our pvc flooring tiles by RaceDeck in a checkerboard pattern. Berry's man cave includes most of the essentials for a space like this, Bar number one, juke box, pool table, plenty of seating and lots of neon signs!
