Nothing extravagant… just wanted to share my “Nero Honed” exterior application because I couldn’t find many images on the web when I was torn between two options. I went back and forth between Norstone’s 3d panels and Realstone’s Nero Honed for DAYS and I am really happy with my decision. Monte’s Ironworks did an AMAZING job on my custom IPE gates with a white laminated glass panel to incorporate my glass on garage door. Bought it a few years back and really would not have gone white today BUT, thanks to my nero honed selection it all blended together nicely. Love my IPE Swing and Address plaque as well… both were Etsy bought. Small modern home for one, works for me.  The gardener is up next, thank goodness!

The community's property was bought in the 1960s and established in the early 1970s as a remote mountain retreat, but now finds itself at the edge of metro Atlanta's exurban expansion. The small valley Lake Arrowhead sits in and the surrounding community was originally known by local residents as "Lost Town," which was initially settled in the 1840s. Many descendants of the first pioneers still live nearby in the Waleska area. The private, Lake Arrowhead community consists of two lakes, Lake Arrowhead and Lake Chickasaw, has two security gates, an 18-hole golf course, a clubhouse, boat rentals, a marina, nature trails, a chapel, a community swimming pool,tennis courts and two volunteer fire departments. Additionally, the community includes condominium homes, some of which are located on the golf course, and a small, historic cemetery, which consists mostly of graves from the Puckett family, early Lost Town settlers. Currently, Lake Arrowhead is in the process of further expansion by building another 18-hole golf course, adding another fire department, building a lake pavilion, new clubhouse, restaurant, and also adding a new community area, which includes a new pool, a skate park and anamphitheatre.

This cutom built Argentine grill is accented with antique plow and wagon wheel crank from my dad's place. The copper hood was made from recycled cooper I bought here in Atlanta. We made each screw by hand and the bottom and vertical trim pieces are recycled bronze kick plates. The small hood over the brasero is made from recycled copper gutters soldered together. What a fun piece to build!

This homeowner was ready to downsize. They sold the big house and bought an older condo on the golf course that needed some tender loving care. First mission - tear out the kitchen countertops and flooring. Paint the honey oak cabinets gray, added Cambria Bellingham countertops. Second mission - remodel the master bath with new vanity and Cambria Minera countertops. It's beautiful and there are no boundaries. Let's see...what will be their third mission?

Tired of freezing bleak winters, this client decided to split her time between Michigan and Southern California. She bought this bright, airy home that epitomizes West Coast living, but the prior owner had not done anything to maintain the garden in many years. The grounds were filled with poorly placed and sickly-looking plants. The new homeowner wanted her garden to be a respite from subzero temperatures, filled year-round with flowers. Deciding what to keep, what to move and what to add, we came up with a plant pallet full of California and Mexico natives, and lots of succulents as well. We added over 1000 plants, filling this property with lush, year-round color that is undeniably Southern Californian.
