Amy Mitchell is an incredibly talented interior decorator. Our home was built in 1938 and has a unique charm which we love and wanted to preserve. Amy has helped us with both big and small projects through the years and has always kept our homes character as an integral part of the plan. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Amy soon after she started her business Home Glow Design. At this time, she helped us out with our living room and dining room. We had already purchased some items for our living room so she assisted us with bringing in other items for the living room and nearly all design for the connecting dining room to make our house quickly feel like a well decorated home. Later, Amy did a wonderful job helping us with our upstairs bathroom. Amy assisted us by coming up with an interior design plan for our bathroom without spending money where it didn't need to be spent. Now for the best and most recent part...... Amy was crucial in helping with our homes entire addition process. We redid our kitchen, converted our old garage space to living space, added a large mudroom, added an oversized garage, and have the area above the new garage roughed in and designed for a bedroom & bathroom. We brought Amy in to assist very early with the architectural plans. We knew we needed Amy's unique eye, intelligence and talent to assist in the development of the architecture plans. Amy was able to look at the draft architectural plan and make the most wonderful suggestions to both the interior and exterior. She worked with me, my husband, the architect, and the structural engineer seamlessly and efficiently. She helped ensure the exterior front of our house looked perfect with the addition looking like it was always part of the house. We have gotten this complement from tons of people in town that drive by our house on a regular basis. With regards to the interior, Amy helped us keep the addition architectural plans with the 1938 style of our home. She truly helped with the entire architectural plan. Once the architectural plans were complete and absolutely wonderful, we got to work with Amy on all the fun aspects of interior design. As a part of of the addition project, our kitchen was completely gutted and redone. Amy helped with the interior design of the kitchen, new entrance way, and new very large eating area. Amy worked to ensure the kitchen interior design went with the rest of our homes interior decor and that the kitchen was functional. Our cabinets and countertops are absolutely are stunning with unique touches. The wall colors and lighting are impressive. The art Amy picked out for us is beautiful and fits with our love of nature. Amy's furniture and rug suggestions were on point. Amy even helped us pick the exterior paints for our home!!! Our exterior paint is delightful and charming. I would highly recommend Home Glow Design without hesitation for all stages of your home project.

Home Glow Design did an amazing job helping us design and decorate our forever NH home! Amy was very easy to work with and quickly picked up on our style and goals. She was so creative and thoughtful about all design aspects; everything from where to place outlets to what kind of bathroom towels we needed. Her knowledge of how to layout a room is invaluable. We really enjoyed working with Amy, and plan to work on other projects with her. She listened carefully to what our vision was for the space (we did a complete renovation of our master bedroom) and even worked in a special painting we wanted to design around. We liked the way that although she came back to us with a completed design, she was flexible in allowing us to re-select a few items, while at the same time pushing us a little bit to be open to some new looks. We were extremely happy with the various trades people Amy brought in - very comfortable with them in our home and their work was excellent. The final design is lovely to look at and extremely functional. We are enjoying using the different spaces she set up within the room.

Amy helped us to envisage and realize designs for our entryway and living room. She listened carefully to our wants and needs and was able to put those into a cohesive plan for our spaces. She pushed us in some areas to think outside of our comfort zones, and was understanding and responsive when we asked for changes. She helped us navigate through the pandemic impacts of supply chain and labor shortages, always checking in and providing updates on a regular basis. The tradespeople that Amy brought into our home were of the highest quality and worked efficiently and tidily on our project. We give our highest recommendation to Home Glow Design! We hired Amy for a three room project - our dining room, entry way, and living room. Prior to hiring Amy, it felt like three separate rooms with no cohesion and the best way to describe the style was "hodge podge." Amy dramatically transformed and elevated the space. I had never worked with a designer before and thought she would recommend furniture. In reality, furnishings were a small part of the job. She also recommended millwork, paint colors, doors, a stair runner, carpets, and curtains - and incredibly for two working professionals, she handled all of the coordination with our contractor, furniture delivery, and installation of the stair runner and curtains. She is a consummate professional and kept a close eye on our budget. She is also an absolute pleasure to work with! In the before Amy days, we tolerated our home - now we absolutely LOVE our home. Working with Amy and her team has been beyond fantastic and couldn't be happier with the results.
