The cool gray tones of this master bath design in Gainesville set the backdrop for a soothing space in this home. The large alcove shower with a frameless glass door and linear drain creates a bright, relaxing space with both a rainfall and handheld Kohler showerhead. The shower also includes glass corner shelves for handy storage and a grab bar. The shower and bathroom floor are both tiled in Daltile Florentine porcelain tile with striking white and gray tones, giving the entire space a fluid feel. The Shiloh Cabinetry vanity and linen cabinet in a light gray wood finish are accented by Richelieu hardware. The vanity is topped by an engineered quartz countertop, undermount sink, and Delta Faucet, along with Glasscrafters medicine cabinet and wall sconces. A half wall separates the vanity from a Toto Drake II toilet, completing the bath design.

The challenge of this project was to fulfill the clients' desire for a unique and modern second story addition that would blend harmoniously with the original 1930s bungalow. On the exterior, the addition appropriates the traditional materials of the existing home, while using contemporary proportions and lines to speak to a modern sensibility. Staggered massing and terraced roofs add to the visual interest and a harmonious balance in the design. On the interior, rich natural materials like oak and mahogany add warmth to the clean lines of the design. The design carefully frames stunning views of the reservoir and surrounding hills. With an eye toward accessibility, this bathroom is designed to ease the everyday routines of a homeowner who often uses a wheelchair. Universal design strategies guided the project structurally with ADA-compatible elements incorporated throughout. An expansive shower with a curbless transition replaces a large corner tub allowing our homeowner easier movement throughout the space. Clean and elegant hall bathroom with a single 3/8" glass panel, channel drain, and zero entry. Matte black fixtures and accessories add a nice pop of contrast to the white porcelain tile and glass tile accent strip.

Builder-grade, tired and outdated fixtures paired with peeling wallpaper and missing tiles served as the impetus behind this homeowners desire to remodel. Careful thought and consideration went into the selection of each bath product as the client wanted a clean design with a contemporary flair. The homeowners enlisted Renovisions to take on the task and transform their bathroom into the beautiful, zen-like bathing space they envisioned. Each step of the remodeling process was completed carefully to ensure a proper facelift. Beautiful, natural pebble tiles accented by a border of 12”x12” tan colored marble tiles set the overall feel of this new space. The vanity, a medium stained cherry wood contemporary styled wall-hung cabinet, and the ice stone countertop compliment the gorgeous blue-green hues of the mosaic wall tile. The chrome finished wall-hung faucet has the perfect design choice for the narrow yet sleek vanity. The tub/shower side walls boast stylish 6”x12” marble tiles installed in a horizontal pattern while the blue/green mosaic tiles on the back wall create a dramatic focal point in the otherwise neutral color palate. Desired amenities such as a deeper soaking tub, a custom tiled shampoo cubby, a hand-held shower head and slide bar and a decorative safety grab bar provided both the functionality and style the homeowners sought after. Upon completion, this full bath exudes a sophisticated and heavenly atmosphere to provide a truly “do-it-yourself” spa experience.
