The white branchelier, gray washed table and chairs, and sea-colored walls and bright white wainscot are perfect for a beach location. Orange patterned draperies and chair slipcovers add cheer. Inspiration for a small timeless living room remodel in Seattle with a music area

The soothing primary bath provides a respite from the homeowners' busy lives. The expansive vanity mirror highlights the room's tall ceilings, while the soft colors provide a relaxing atmosphere. Gold wall sconces, hardware and faucets are beautifully showcased against the rooms greige cabinetry. The shower is located in a separate bathroom alcove, allowing for privacy. The "his and her" shower boasts two shower heads, hand-held shower wands, a rain shower, a built-in quartz bench and two shower niches. A shower window allows natural light to flood the elegant space.

This dining room was the original home's living room. Notice the fire place? It's original - a new coat of paint has it looking brand new. It is one of the only rooms left from the original structure. The homeowners have their extended families nearby and often host large, informal dinners. They felt the large room was much better suited as their dining room, and opted to turn the original smaller dining room into a formal living room. The wainscoting on the walls and coffered ceilings are new, but constructed to look original. The salvaged wood farmhouse table is the perfect gathering spot for their family and a nice contrast to the more formal touches like the silk window treatments and subdued color palette. 2014 ASID Design Awards - Winner Silver Residential, Small Firm - Singular Space Renovation of the husbands study. The client asked for a clam color and look that would make her husband feel good when spending time in his study/ home office. Starting with the main focal point wall, the Hunt Solcum art piece was to remain. The space plan options showed the clients that the way the room had been laid out was not the best use of the space and the old furnishings were large in scale, but outdated in look. The walls of this formal dining room have all been paneled and painted a crisp white to set off the stark gray used on the upper part of the walls, above the paneling. Ceilings are coffered and a dramatic large pendant lamp is placed centered in the paneled ceiling. A silk light grey rug sits proud under a 12' wide custom dining table. Reclaimed wood planks from Canada and an industrial steel base harden the soft lines of the room and provide a bit of whimsy. Dining benches sit on one side of the table, and four leather and nail head studded chairs flank the other side. The table comfortably sits a party of 12.

This whole house renovation done by Harry Braswell Inc. used Virginia Kitchen's design services (Erin Hoopes) and materials for the bathrooms, laundry and kitchens. The custom millwork was done to replicate the look of the cabinetry in the open concept family room. This completely custom renovation was eco-friend and is obtaining leed certification.
