In the Powder Room, a furniture piece with finished in leather and nail heads was used as the vanity. We took the top off and added a honed limestone counter, copper vessel sink and copper wall mounted faucet.

JAC 140 - Twilight in Space by Jon Allen The Jon Allen Collection is an exclusive, hand-selected group of my most personal work to date. Each piece is hand-painted on aluminum. My art itself and my chosen medium, aluminum, are blissfully married. You may not think of the word organic when you hear the word metal, but this is some of my most organic art and that’s simply because metal allows my work to achieve true sentience. Aluminum’s naturally reflective nature enables each color, shape, and stroke to reach its full potential. A new aspect of the painting will reveal itself to you as it basks in the light that surrounds, evades, or envelops it in that moment. When you see the piece from different angles, you will appreciate how vibrant, dynamic, and environmentally influenced these pieces are. What you may see and feel by morning is not what you’ll see or feel by dusk and in many ways, and as such I feel these pieces capture the ever-ebbing and complex nature of human emotion and perception. Some of these pieces are truly abstract while others are modern takes on traditional landscapes, marine life, and portraits. I hope you enjoy them a fraction of how much I enjoyed creating them. This Victorian home got the remodel of the century! The builders decided to keep the front Victorian and add an addition onto the back that is right out of the pages of Modern magazine. Misancthus in the fall

For the deck’s surface and benches, the clients selected low-maintenance capped PVC decking from TimberTech AZEK’s Vintage collection in their weathered teak color. We rebuilt the twin pergolas – including posts, beams, slats and trusses – with cedar and applied a solid-color custom stain on all of the wood surfaces. We were able to retain the original deck railings, and we didn’t need to modify the roof structure for this project.

This is a bottom right corner of a feature box containing tile made by SONOMA, in a blend of stone, metal, and crackled glass. Note the thin metal liners at the edges in bronze. This was seeded into 1/2 to at most 3/4-1 inch deep aeration holes on 2 x 2 to 1 x 1 inch spacings. These seed "pockets" hold moisture and protect new seedlings from compression until they've grown out of the holes and start tillering together. Outstanding results from a simple yet effective planting technique. No mulch necessary, and because the seed is so close to the surface, it germinates even faster than grass seed covered by various mulches.
