The search was on for a retaining/seat wall face stone that would complement the Smoked Pine Borealis paver. The new Dark Ridge color Pro-Fit Alpine Ledgestone by Boral really jumped out at the client as he browsed my manufacturer catalogs.

Inspiration for a mid-sized modern courtyard concrete patio remodel in Miami with a fire pit
Inspiration for a mid-sized modern courtyard concrete patio remodel in Miami with a fire pit

Our homeowner was looking for a garden that she could entertain in, but that was also safe for her young grandson. We built a patio cover for dining, a lounging area with a gas burning firepit, and created a sandy beach play area complete with shells, pebbles, and a hummingbird water spout for making sand castles. Newly planted, these plants still need to grown in. We used pea gravel for the main area, natural washed concrete for the pathways, and Mexican beach pebbles between the concrete pads.

For the first time, the beauty and characteristic patina of the coveted Antique Dalle de Bourgogne limestone has been meticulously reproduced, using traditional Scagliola craftsmanship. Available in a range of colors and finishes that make them almost indistinguishable from the original, Dalle de Bourgogne reproduction materials are available in three or eleven piece patterns, leveled to a consistent thickness for convenient installation in any rustic project.

Premonition by Jon Allen - JAC 195
The Jon Allen Collection is an exclusive, hand-selected group of my most personal work to date. Each piece is hand-painted on aluminum. My art itself and my chosen medium, aluminum, are blissfully married. You may not think of the word organic when you hear the word metal, but this is some of my most organic art and that’s simply because metal allows my work to achieve true sentience. Aluminum’s naturally reflective nature enables each color, shape, and stroke to reach its full potential. A new aspect of the painting will reveal itself to you as it basks in the light that surrounds, evades, or envelops it in that moment. When you see the piece from different angles, you will appreciate how vibrant, dynamic, and environmentally influenced these pieces are. What you may see and feel by morning is not what you’ll see or feel by dusk and in many ways, and as such I feel these pieces capture the ever-ebbing and complex nature of human emotion and perception.
Some of these pieces are truly abstract while others are modern takes on traditional landscapes, marine life, and portraits. I hope you enjoy them a fraction of how much I enjoyed creating them. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Number of Pieces: 1
Dimensions: 48" x 24" x 2" off the wall
Care & Cleaning: Clean with a soft cloth and plain soap & water
Other Features: Hardware is pre-installed for simple hanging and art will “float” 2” off the wall

These colors were chosen to match the mineral staining on nearby granite. The color possibilities of this kind of work is really quite wide. The granite staining could be just about anything. Here, the browns represent the mineral colors within the the structure of the local granite. The grays, in this case, match the lichen growth of the boulders in the area. The green speckled built up parts match the moss growth of the nearby boulders as well.

Juparana Florence Bordeaux Granite is a lovely grey-pink stone including hues of cream and tan. (Bundle#2)
