This impressive bespoke fitted media wall, tailored storage and display features, was handcrafted and installed by Bespoke by Acorn for our clients’ private family residence in Sutton, Surrey. Spanning the entire wall from floor to ceiling, the structure and style make the unit look and feel like an architectural part of the living room. The custom-built joinery features handcrafted built-in storage and lighting, with plug sockets and cables elegantly concealed. We also created the curtain rail which integrates seamlessly into the TV unit and wall panelling achieving a cohesive, streamlined look. Natural oak grain with a dark grey luxury finish The custom-built TV wall cabinet is modern minimalist in design and flawlessly finished in oak with a graphite wood stain. This sophisticated deep grey colour reflects the resurgence of retro luxury in interior design and matches the style of the property’s interior décor scheme. A premium quality satin lacquer gives the surface a protective hardwearing finish. Bespoke layout, storage and lighting For this media wall unit, our clients wanted to have open made-to-measure display areas with low-level cupboards for storage. The lower cabinets have sleek, minimalist doors featuring an effortless, push to open, handle-free design. Bespoke integrated dimmable LED lighting which adds visual dimension, illuminates artworks and brings an attractive ambience to the room. The upper grid layout achieves a pleasing sense of balance and harmony, with attractive pieces on display, while other items such as equipment and everyday essentials are discreetly stored behind closed doors.

Our latest start-to-finish home is complete in Caldera Springs, welcoming throngs of family and friends. We partnered with architect, builder and clients to craft restful and functional spaces throughout this home. Hard-wearing natural materials clad surfaces in the kitchen and bathrooms, and a restful palette is woven throughout the home with wide plank white oak flooring, warm stained cabinetry, and artful neutral tile. Furnishings, artwork and accessories continue the easygoing storyline in calm tones and cozy textures. Our signature “cushionless” approach to the outdoor living spaces means low maintenance and easy-care use year-round. We truly love how this home came together! This recent Artscape garden design project was for a family home near Abingdon in Oxfordshire, and included pool landscaping, a large patio area for lounging and dining, pathways and extensive planting. Pool landscaping with porcelain surround The main feature of the garden design is the outdoor swimming pool, installed with the luxurious poolside surround we created using porcelain paving. Porcelain pavers are extremely hardwearing, water-resistant and provides a stunning, high-end, consistent finish. The pathway linking the pool to the house uses a durable, modern dark black clay pavers by Vande Moortal which makes a striking contrast to the light toned porcelain which also complimented the modern extension. Another feature of the pool landscaping is the premium, venetian-style trellis. This attractive design allows light and air to pass through while maintaining privacy. Contemporary garden pool house Artscape designed the contemporary garden pool house which was custom-built to enhance the use of the swimming pool. It features a made-to-measure changing room and plenty of dedicated storage space for towels and play equipment. Barbecue area Just behind the changing room is a new barbecue area which has been screened with a Corten steel trellis. Also know as weathering steel, over time this will form an attractive raw, rusty-orange, textured appearance, blending naturally with the surrounding landscape. Corten panels are very long lasting and require minimal maintenance. Poolside planting Pleached hornbeam trees have been planted in front of the venetian-style trellis to add extra privacy and style to the poolside setting. Hornbeam has bright green foliage in spring and summer and crisp, copper leaves in autumn. Pleaching is a sophisticated, centuries-old method of training trees to produce a narrow, formal-style hedge. The planting scheme surrounding the pool consists mainly of soft ornamental grasses, bearded iris and purple salvias. We made sure there was an interesting combination of colour, height and texture. The borders running from the house down to the pool area have been planted with a mixture of Alliums, bright orange flowered Geum, Acers and grasses with a palette ranging from hot to cool greens.

The great traditional Italian architectural stone Pietra Piasentina Grigio. This material has been popular since the age of antiquity due to their strength, hard-wearing resistance and at the same time their outstanding styling appeal. They are the inspiration for the IN-SIDE series. The series is named after the state-of-the-art technology with which Laminam was able to quash another paradigm of ceramic surfaces, creating a body and surface continuity in the slabs like Pietra Piasentina Grigio.

This designer’s ideal is homeowners with a clear vision, set priorities, and values that align seamlessly with ours. These clients, an accomplished artist and the owner of a generational hops growing farm, were collaborative and trusting from the start. They conscientiously selected a team of Architect (Green Hammer), General Contractor (Cellar Ridge) and ATIID for furnishings and finishing touches. Each firm was able to meticulously manage their leg of the project, while collaborating wholistically with each other and the homeowners. The family farmhouse, lovingly named “Westwood,” was showing the wear one expects after serving a growing family for decades. The owner’s dream was to revive, open up, and breathe modern life into each space, while respecting the home’s heritage. One of our first collaborations was the light fixture that would grace the main two-story entry hall. HiiH Lights in Astoria, Oregon, was commissioned to bring “the function of light, the craft of paper, and the art of sculpture” to the home. Visiting the maker’s space – a massive barn on his coastal property – was such an inspiring adventure! Original work by the resident artist sets an ethereal tone in the space, and an antique bench handsomely blends the old with the new. A wall that divided the home’s living room and kitchen was removed, and the breezy and bright gathering room was born. Light walls, warm wood tones, cozy upholstery, clean lines and heritage elements create a welcoming atmosphere and invite lounging and conversation. The sun-drenched nook is the home’s main indoor dining area, with an extension table and sculpted chairs that are just right for family gatherings or morning rituals with the Sunday paper. The kitchen is a chef’s dream with every modern amenity, but its casual attitude is “let’s make a mess and eat!” The owner’s artwork graces the mantel over the new fireplace that was carved from a tree felled on the property, illustrating the thoughtful consideration of each element. The muted wool area rugs in the entryways and great room are hard-wearing for farm life, and the furniture’s classic lines, bold contrasting colors, deep seating and soft textures encourage cozy conversations or large group gatherings. The library is undoubtedly our favorite space in this home. Tucked in “speakeasy style” behind a hidden (wallpapered!) door in the moody wet bar, and drenched in deep green, the room offers a quiet retreat that hugs you in an embrace of books and family photos. The cozy settee nestled between the bookcases sits opposite a custom pair of modern cognac leather wing chairs. The area rug continues the storied look without the antique price tag with a piece from Loloi’s “Heritage Collection.” A little va-va-voom was requested for the powder bath and boy did we deliver! Custom wallpaper plays over original wainscotting and ceilings wrapped in more glorious green. The space evokes joy every time you open the door! A primary suite that would “transport us to another world” and be “classic yet modern, peaceful, collected and uncluttered” was a tall order. Our new furniture layout takes full advantage of the view of wine country hills and the Willamette River, welcomes fireside lounging, and serves as a calm respite for the lovely owners. Westwood Farmhouse truly was inspired by family, genuine love for home and graciousness for all who enter. This luxury bespoke wine cabinet was custom-made by Acorn for a residence in Sutton, Surrey. Our clients, who collect and enjoy fine wine, commissioned us to create a dedicated wine storage unit that combined exceptional functionality in an impressive statement piece. The resulting cabinet provides tailored storage and display in a stunning finish that coordinates with the interior décor style of the house. It is built-in to the bespoke floor to ceiling wall panelling we installed in the hallway. The wall panels cleverly conceal cupboard storage for clothing, footwear and other accessories. Creating hidden doors using wooden wall panels adds storage to the entrance hall while maintaining a beautifully, cohesive, streamlined look. Bespoke wine cabinet The distinctive tailormade wine cabinet features made to measure wine racks, horizontal bottle holders and shelving. The large doors are made of toughened glass sitting within a solid oak frame. While ensuring the wine bottles are stored in the correct position, the cabinet has turned an underutilised space into an eye-catching display feature in the entrance hall and when viewed from the dining table area. Oak room divider doors We also handcrafted a pair of coordinated minimalist oak partition doors that lead into the dining room area. Internal room divider doors are a superb way to create distinct spaces and separate rooms. The doors give our clients control over how they use their living space and can be opened to allow freedom of movement and create a sense of space or closed to provide privacy and a cosy atmosphere. The doors are designed to blend seamlessly into the cabinetry when opened giving the impression of there being no doors at all. Oak cabinetry with a graphite stain finish The oak cabinetry has been flawlessly finished with a graphite wood stain and satin lacquer, which gives the surface a premium and protective hardwearing finish. The grey stain allows the beauty of the wood’s natural grain to show through while also adding depth and character, creating a contemporary rustic aesthetic. The deep grey colour is an up to date neutral with a refined, high-end appearance; and this dark shade brings sophistication and drama to the entrance hall, while also making a stunning backdrop to the illuminated wine cabinet. This stunning luxury gym interior with bespoke mirrored cabinetry and premium slatted wood wall panelling was designed and installed by us for our client’s prime residence in Guildford, Surrey. The vertical panels are constructed in a highly durable natural light oak with a contemporary Nordic look. The neutral colours and natural oak in this room promote a serene atmosphere to allow for focus, concentration and relaxation. Slatted wall panels for acoustics and aesthetics The narrow slats absorb sound and reduce echo and reverberation for a comfortable and pleasant environment. An acoustic black backing adds extra soundproofing. The sweeping curved shape of the bespoke slatted wood-clad doors are a special feature and soften the appearance of the cabinetry adding elegance to the environment. The discreet handles recessed into the edge of the doors maintain the sleek minimalist look. A practical satin matt clear finish enhances the grain and adds protection. Handcrafted bespoke storage The bespoke floor to ceiling fitted cabinetry features full-length safety mirrored doors with a silver finish. The mirrors provide visual feedback and enhance light and a feeling of spaciousness. Every millimetre of cabinet space has been tailored with cabinetry with storage features. These include deep pull-out drawers for heavy equipment; a custom space for golf clubs and bags; square cubby holes for trainer shoes, and rounded shelves in the curved section to organise small items. The interior of the cabinetry is lined with a hardwearing, easy to clean light grey textured laminate. The interior drawers and door backs are spray finished in Farrow and Ball Down Pipe, a stylish dark grey.

Home away from home is where we often meet our clients, especially in Bend. They crave a welcoming and approachable, yet luxurious and well curated vacation home. This custom home in Central Oregon’s Caldera Springs neighborhood was no exception. An investment property the owners and their family will use occasionally, the home had to speak to their overall aesthetic, while graciously accommodating rental guests throughout the year. Design for each space was a collaboration with our clients, who selected “inspiration” fabrics and artwork that tell a story and bring warmth and personality to the home. We designed hard-wearing custom furniture, composed layers of luxe bedding, placed photography by local artist and photographer Chris Murray, and added comfortable and low maintenance furniture outside, where everyone wants to be year-round in Bend. Working with the property manager, we checked every item off a comprehensive list to outfit the chef’s kitchen and ensure guests would have all the comforts of home. A soft calming tone was used in the bedroom , the circular pattern self coloured jacquard curtains echoed the punched brass finish of the clients lamps and added interest and sheen whilst still being restful on the eye. A pair of elegant lacquer finish nightstands were added with brass and clear hardwear.

This kitchen was previously closed in before the kitchen renovation/remodel. The wall was taken out and a pensinular style kitchen added. The white shaker style cabinets are modern with oversize cabinetry handles. The countertop is white Misterio quartz which is hardwearing. The dining area is connected to the kitchen and the peninsular has dine in counter stools. The built in bench provides clever small dining space seating and wallpaper adds a unique element to define the dining space.

ATIID collaborated with these homeowners to curate new furnishings throughout the home while their down-to-the studs, raise-the-roof renovation, designed by Chambers Design, was underway. Pattern and color were everything to the owners, and classic “Americana” colors with a modern twist appear in the formal dining room, great room with gorgeous new screen porch, and the primary bedroom. Custom bedding that marries not-so-traditional checks and florals invites guests into each sumptuously layered bed. Vintage and contemporary area rugs in wool and jute provide color and warmth, grounding each space. Bold wallpapers were introduced in the powder and guest bathrooms, and custom draperies layered with natural fiber roman shades ala Cindy’s Window Fashions inspire the palettes and draw the eye out to the natural beauty beyond. Luxury abounds in each bathroom with gleaming chrome fixtures and classic finishes. A magnetic shade of blue paint envelops the gourmet kitchen and a buttery yellow creates a happy basement laundry room.
