This home remodel is a celebration of curves and light. Starting from humble beginnings as a basic builder ranch style house, the design challenge was maximizing natural light throughout and providing the unique contemporary style the client’s craved. The Entry offers a spectacular first impression and sets the tone with a large skylight and an illuminated curved wall covered in a wavy pattern Porcelanosa tile. The chic entertaining kitchen was designed to celebrate a public lifestyle and plenty of entertaining. Celebrating height with a robust amount of interior architectural details, this dynamic kitchen still gives one that cozy feeling of home sweet home. The large “L” shaped island accommodates 7 for seating. Large pendants over the kitchen table and sink provide additional task lighting and whimsy. The Dekton “puzzle” countertop connection was designed to aid the transition between the two color countertops and is one of the homeowner’s favorite details. The built-in bistro table provides additional seating and flows easily into the Living Room. A curved wall in the Living Room showcases a contemporary linear fireplace and tv which is tucked away in a niche. Placing the fireplace and furniture arrangement at an angle allowed for more natural walkway areas that communicated with the exterior doors and the kitchen working areas. The dining room’s open plan is perfect for small groups and expands easily for larger events. Raising the ceiling created visual interest and bringing the pop of teal from the Kitchen cabinets ties the space together. A built-in buffet provides ample storage and display. The Sitting Room (also called the Piano room for its previous life as such) is adjacent to the Kitchen and allows for easy conversation between chef and guests. It captures the homeowner’s chic sense of style and joie de vivre.

The centrepiece of the k7 kitchen is the 74 to 114 cm height-adjustable kitchen island. This allows the worktop to be adjusted precisely to individual ergonomic requirements via the flush-mounted control element. The lift technology patented by TEAM 7 and unique globally has almost noiseless operation and is GS-certified (Geprüfte Sicherheit - "Tested Safety"), just like all our kitchens. Unlike the cooking island, the k7 kitchen line only reveals its sophisticated secret upon closer inspection. This is because the flush-mounted pendulum handle which was also developed by us is hidden behind its handle-free design. This is seamlessly integrated in the metal band on the fronts and is revealed with a light tap.

When a 7 year old Brooklyn hip-kid is also an animal lover, you get this woodland boy's room, designed to grow and maximize storage. This small kid's bedroom features a storage bed, wall shelves, a spacious desk hutch, and a storage ottoman to accommodate ample toys and books, as well as a custom designed closet to suit a growing child's needs. Hipster Animals removable wallpaper is fun for a 7 year old, but still cheeky and cool enough for a teen. And while woodland animals abound, they are balanced by mature decor elements like neutral colors, dark blues, boyish plaid, and chic wool and leather textures meant to grow with child. This room is one of our favorite small space designs - it's fun, personalized, and makes the space look bigger--while also providing storage and function. This bathroom features a sophisticated shower space with a frameless hinged shower door complete with chrome trim. The floor to ceiling tiled shower walls feature vertical tile which offers a fabric-textured look that adds depth to the space. Mother of Pearl accent tile runs up the center of the back wall and into the recess niche. The Moen Voss Moentrol® shower trim boasts a large chrome shower head and handheld shower on a vertical bar, making height adjustment quick and easy. The 1” x 2” fabric textured tile on the shower floor completes the ensemble and provides increased traction slip-resistance. The biscuit colored Kohler Cimarron® Comfort Height® toilet is very popular for providing a more comfortable sitting height than a standard toilet. An 18” polished chrome towel bar hangs above the toilet. The 30” custom-made, solid wood vanity has an espresso finish with a granite surface and biscuit under-mount bowl. The handles are stainless steel to match the chrome in the other fixtures.
