This concrete driveway is colored and textured to mimic London Cobblestone. We replaced a worn out asphalt driveway. The price point on this was one third the cost of real cobblestone. Being concrete means it will remain flat, be weed free, will not rut like asphalt, and cleans up easily and quickly because of the sealed surface.

A simple desert plant palette complements the clean Modernist lines of this Arcadia-area home. Architect C.P. Drewett says the exterior color palette lightens the residence’s sculptural forms. “We also painted it in the springtime,” Drewett adds. “It’s a time of such rejuvenation, and every time I’m involved in a color palette during spring, it reflects that spirit.”
Featured in the November 2008 issue of Phoenix Home & Garden, this "magnificently modern" home is actually a suburban loft located in Arcadia, a neighborhood formerly occupied by groves of orange and grapefruit trees in Phoenix, Arizona. The home, designed by architect C.P. Drewett, offers breathtaking views of Camelback Mountain from the entire main floor, guest house, and pool area. These main areas "loft" over a basement level featuring 4 bedrooms, a guest room, and a kids' den. Features of the house include white-oak ceilings, exposed steel trusses, Eucalyptus-veneer cabinetry, honed Pompignon limestone, concrete, granite, and stainless steel countertops. The owners also enlisted the help of Interior Designer Sharon Fannin. The project was built by Sonora West Development of Scottsdale, AZ.

Dutton Architects did an extensive renovation of a post and beam mid-century modern house in the canyons of Beverly Hills. The house was brought down to the studs, with new interior and exterior finishes, windows and doors, lighting, etc. A secure exterior door allows the visitor to enter into a garden before arriving at a glass wall and door that leads inside, allowing the house to feel as if the front garden is part of the interior space. Similarly, large glass walls opening to a new rear gardena and pool emphasizes the indoor-outdoor qualities of this house. photos by Undine Prohl

Paver Gloss Sealer is a solvent based clear acrylic sealer which penetrates into brick pavers to create a glossy wet look appearance. It helps stabilize joint sand between pavers to prevent moss & weeds. Protects pavers against UV color fading & stains. Paver Gloss Sealer is a penetrating wet look/satin sheen acrylic sealer designed for use on all types of exterior concrete and pavers. Its pure acrylic formula allows for superior penetration and bonding. The durable finish left behind is UV stable and will not yellow. It offers superior resistance to rain, the sun, cold and hot climates, stains, and more. When applied to dull or faded concrete and pavers it will help to enhance the original coloring.
Applications: stamped colored concrete and brick paver driveways, sidewalks and walkways, patios and pool decks, garage floors and more.
Uses: Exterior, Vertical/Horizontal Stamped Concrete, Stenciled Concrete, Acid Stained Concrete, Overlaid Concrete, Exposed Aggregate Concrete, Broom Finish Concrete, Concrete Pavers, and Trowel Finish Concrete. To order visit www.surfacerestoration.com/shop

This outdoor living space features a professionally designed paver patio with a decorative inlay, installed by Traditions Landscape Group in New Albany, Ohio. The patio combines large format stone-style pavers with a circular cobblestone inlay pattern, creating a visually striking focal point that enhances the overall patio layout.
The custom inlay design introduces contrast and architectural interest while helping define the outdoor dining area. The patio connects seamlessly to the home’s brick rear entrance and stairway, blending the warm tones of the brick architecture with the cool gray tones of the paver surface.
At the center of the patio, a custom outdoor grill island and dining space provides a functional area for entertaining and outdoor cooking. The surrounding landscape includes manicured boxwood hedging, ornamental plantings, and mature shade trees, creating privacy and a refined garden setting.
Built with durability in mind, the patio was installed using professional hardscape construction techniques designed for Central Ohio’s clay soil conditions and freeze-thaw climate. A properly prepared aggregate base, precision paver installation, and polymeric joint sand help ensure long-term structural stability and performance.
Projects like this demonstrate how a thoughtfully designed paver patio in New Albany, Ohio can transform a backyard into an inviting outdoor living environment ideal for dining, entertaining, and everyday relaxation.
