A lovely and interesting pendant lamp in laser-cut steel, the PAISTE captures all the simplicty and flair of the best scandinavian design. PAISTE has been designed by Sami Laine, a distinguished member of the Helsinki young designers collective REHTI. “Rehti” is a finnish word that means honesty in work and personal behaviour, a ethical principle that the finnish school of design has traditionally applied and materialized into aesthetic form. PAISTE lamps are manufactured in Spain, exclusively by luján + sicilia.

Here's what our clients from this project had to say: We LOVE coming home to our newly remodeled and beautiful 41 West designed and built home! It was such a pleasure working with BJ Barone and especially Paul Widhalm and the entire 41 West team. Everyone in the organization is incredibly professional and extremely responsive. Personal service and strong attention to the client and details are hallmarks of the 41 West construction experience. Paul was with us every step of the way as was Ed Jordon (Gary David Designs), a 41 West highly recommended designer. When we were looking to build our dream home, we needed a builder who listened and understood how to bring our ideas and dreams to life. They succeeded this with the utmost honesty, integrity and quality! 41 West has exceeded our expectations every step of the way, and we have been overwhelmingly impressed in all aspects of the project. It has been an absolute pleasure working with such devoted, conscientious, professionals with expertise in their specific fields. Paul sets the tone for excellence and this level of dedication carries through the project. We so appreciated their commitment to perfection...So much so that we also hired them for two more remodeling projects. We love our home and would highly recommend 41 West to anyone considering building or remodeling a home.

The home presents itself as a continuous, sculpted facade, its layered 3d printed walls shaped by light and shadow throughout the day. Set low against the landscape, the architecture reads as both shelter and landform, emphasizing horizontality, material honesty, and a measured sense of arrival.

This is a quintessential Colorado home. Massive raw steel beams are juxtaposed with refined fumed larch cabinetry, heavy lashed timber is foiled by the lightness of window walls. Monolithic stone walls lay perpendicular to a curved ridge, organizing the home as they converge in the protected entry courtyard. From here, the walls radiate outwards, both dividing and capturing spacious interior volumes and distinct views to the forest, the meadow, and Rocky Mountain peaks. An exploration in craftmanship and artisanal masonry & timber work, the honesty of organic materials grounds and warms expansive interior spaces. Living and dining spaces are arranged as a continuous interior landscape, where curved 3d printed walls provide both structure and warmth. Filtered daylight, layered textures, and restrained furnishings create an atmosphere that feels intimate yet expansive, shaped by material honesty and a quiet dialogue with the surrounding desert.

This micro loft dwelling featuring light-grey render (mortar), exposed bricks and natural surface materials, occupies a 75 m2 apartment building floor within one the busiest districts of Medellin, challenged by the limitation of space and a brief requesting an open room for entertaining and the inclusion of the client´s passion for cooking in the design. Up to the challenge, we managed to accomplish all the requirements. With a natural palette of restrained and earthy elements, each material has an honesty to it and was carefully selected for each specific space within the unit. By using these materials and incorporating subtle nuances, we were able to differentiate each space.
