The outdoor space features Fiberon composite decking and composite railing. Fiberon 'Symmetry' rail has a flat, drink-friendly top rail profile, in a matte finish and comes in multiple colors: Tranquil White, Serene Black, and Simply Brown. The hardware is hidden, keeping the look clean and uncluttered. This sturdy rail never needs painting or staining, and is backed by a 20-year limited warranty.

This urban home in New York achieves an open feel with several flights of floating stairs accompanied by cable railing. The surface mount posts were manufactured from Aluminum and finished with our popular black powder coat. The system is topped off with our 6000 mission-style handrail. The floating stairs are accented by 3 1/2″ treads made from White Oak. Altogether, the system further’s the home’s contemporary design.

Resting upon a 120-acre rural hillside, this 17,500 square-foot residence has unencumbered mountain views to the east, south and west. The exterior design palette for the public side is a more formal Tudor style of architecture, including intricate brick detailing; while the materials for the private side tend toward a more casual mountain-home style of architecture with a natural stone base and hand-cut wood siding. Primary living spaces and the master bedroom suite, are located on the main level, with guest accommodations on the upper floor of the main house and upper floor of the garage. The interior material palette was carefully chosen to match the stunning collection of antique furniture and artifacts, gathered from around the country. In this home, we took a partially closed, carpeted stairwell with posts and railings from 1981, and opened the space up, adding new railing, posts and balusters on both sides of the stairs. By opening the wall to the living room, the space feels more open, has more light traveling through and the new railing has brought the home up to date.

Homeowner had a very tight space which prevented any furniture or other items from getting into the basement. We tore out the existing railing and rebuilt a new oak railing with a removable system - the railing itself is one unit and can be removed and reinstalled with just nine screws. This new system will allow large furniture and other basement play things to be moved up and down the stairs without having to gut the stair railing.
