Inspiration for a country kitchen remodel in San Francisco

This modern kitchen features a Pental quartz in Sparkling White counter-top with a Lucente glass Morning Fog subway tile backsplash and bright white grout. The cabinets were refaced with a Shaker style door and Richelieu pulls. The cabinets all have under-cap LED dimmable tape lights. The appliances are all stainless steel including the range-hood. This kitchen remodel, designed for a young, active family, transformed a traditional twin home into an open-plan living space. The dual-tone kitchen, with cherry wood and white finishes, incorporates a Montessori-inspired, adjustable pegboard system that evolves with the children's needs. The removal of a butler staircase created space for extra storage and a cozy coffee station, while clearing out an awkward dining room bathroom allowed for a bar and a new powder room, enhancing functionality and flow throughout the home.

This project features beautifully crafted cabinetry, island and tabletops by Creative Cabinet Designs LLC. The open concept allows you to entertain large groups as it seamlessly transitions from the kitchen, dining room and bar area. Appliances include a 6 burner Wolf range, Wolf M Series Ovens, Sub Zero integrated fridge and freezer columns as well as a Sharp Microwave Drawer and Scotsman ice maker. Close-by is the bar which features a Miele Coffee maker and ice maker which makes it easy to serve any kind of drink your guest would like. The spacious mud/laundry room features a Speed Queen washer Dryer set.

This modern freestanding pool house is a little over 500 square feet. We created this space to allow for entertaining outdoors and relaxing by the pool, as well as giving this homeowner a great backyard view. There is plenty of room for the kitchen and hang out area. We poured a concrete base that we then covered with light walnut travertine. We also added travertine pavers to transition from the pool to the new space. The structure includes smooth stucco finish on the walls, stone based columns and an outdoor shower. The space couldn’t be complete without the 2 TVs with built-in overhead speakers. The kitchen area includes an 18 foot counter area with leathered colonial cream granite and stone that matches the columns. There is a FireMagic Diamond 660i 30 inch grill, fridge, side burner and a sink with hot water. There is plenty of storage and a great pull-out trash drawer. The raised bar top area gives plenty of seating for that snack after swimming. The bathroom is a clean and bright area with a walk-in shower that has frameless glass doors. The vanity is custom built with the same granite as the kitchen area. The floor and wall tile is from Floor and Décor. The door is a Pella door. And, for those extremely hot summer days, it is a great place to go because it is air conditioned! To complete the space, the customer chose Haiku fans from Big Ass Fans – clean lines, 7 speeds, and so very super quiet you can’t even really hear them running. This Fishtown Philadelphia remodel blends the timeless charm of a classic Philadelphia townhouse with vibrant contemporary design and cutting-edge technology. The kitchen serves as the heart of this transformation, featuring custom cabinetry in bold Sherwin-Williams hues, natural stone counters, and a beadboard backsplash for a rich yet inviting atmosphere. Modern appliances, including a panel-ready refrigerator and soft-close technology, ensure functionality while preserving the home’s historic integrity. Unique touches like cement tile floors in the pantry and an EZE Breeze porch with composite decking marry style and innovation.

Three projects at once?! Why not? These were some brave customers! We started by gutting the kitchen and the master bathroom at the same time. By the time the master was in working order, we tackled the hall bathroom. A succinct and perfectly timed series of projects. John Noland expertly designed this roomy kitchen to create better flow for cooking and entertaining. He used Fieldstone Bainbridge cabinets in Butterscotch. The new speed oven and wall oven were moved conveniently to the other side of the bar, giving more room for the refrigerator, and a large induction cooktop. The kitchen now had the practicality it was missing. Other features include the natural stone tile floor in a pin wheel design, the large island for seating and storage and all topped by peacock green granite. The homeowners provided a reception at the completion of the project which was much appreciated by all of the contractors working on the job!

This master bedroom is full of light. We kept the room simple, using design solutions of adding crown and 1x on the ceiling and painting it all with a semigloss sheen to provide visual depth. The somewhat contemporary fan (the Energy Star-qualified Lapa model from Modern Fan Co., offers three-speed AC motor for maximum airflow efficiency), meshes perfectly with the updated farmhouse cottage feel. Plantation shutters provide plenty of protection from the sun while also providing architectural and linear lines that juxtapose the sheer drapes on the four post bed. Notice the layout of the hall with the master closets flanking and the master bath at the end. Design solutions included a pocket, two-panel door with glass above and solid below, providing natural light into the hallway (area seen in the photo at the end of the hall; door is open).
