Our family absolutely loves the home that Scott Simpson Builders created for us! My wife and I purchased a lot in Wilmette and after thinking through our wants, needs and dreams for more than a year, we began to interview architects and builders. One very consistent theme quickly emerged from that process - everyone we met with and spoke to had nothing but very positive, constructive things to say about Scott Simpson Builders. After touring several of their prior projects, speaking to clients and sitting down with Scott, TK and Amy, the decision to hire them was easily made. Consistent with other reviewers, we fully agree that working with Scott Simpson Builders is a wonderfully collaborative process. Scott and Amy bring tremendous creativity to the team while TK keeps everyone honest about the realities of the process and ensures they will deliver a house on budget and on time (or early in our case)! Meanwhile, Kathleen keeps everything running smoothly. We looked forward to every meeting and opportunity to visit the construction site. The whole process was so much fun. Their great questions, suggestions, transparency and absolute attention to detail ensured that the final product would reflect both our needs and our style. The house is awesome! The Scott Simpson Builders team is professional, honest and hardworking and attract and hire only those tradesmen and subcontractors that can meet their exacting standards and share their strong principals. Even our neighbors were pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of the entire team as well as the cleanliness of the job site throughout the process. We do not hesitate to give them the highest recommendation and would certainly hire them again if we were to start the process over or build another home.

I can't say enough about Scott Simpson Builders. We built a custom home (the pictures are on Houzz) with them 4 years ago and already have added a large heated and cooled 3 seasons room and are now building out a cool, modern wine cellar. Their attention to detail and quality craftsmanship are second to none. Not only are they top notch professionals, but honest, hardworking and kind and so are all of their subcontractors. I wouldn't hesitate a second to recommend them to anyone wanting a truly custom, one of a kind, top quality home to spend a lifetime in.

After years of sitting on our lot, dreaming of what our home would look like, they listened, encouraged, and lead us through an amazing process of building the home that is perfect for our family. We looked forward to our meetings with TK and Amy and appreciated their transparency with the budget, honesty and ability to listen and hold their promise. We loved every minute of the process and even moved in 6 weeks early!! They're awesome!

Working with Scott at Scott Simpson Builders was a great experience. He was always professional and pleasant and made the home remodeling experience much less painful. As compared to other projects we have done of a similar large scale, I think his bid was very correct and resulted in few surprises. Change orders were quickly and professionally handled so that we could manage our project. I would use his firm again for any other project I undertake.
