Like many older homes, this Craftsman lacked a main level bathroom. Here, a modern sink, a round faceted mirror, and a wall-mounted soap dispenser off set a traditional penny round tile pattern. And as an added twist, a contemporary color pallet was chosen, introducing a more transitional, updated look. An extraordinary WARHOL collection was the starting point of this project for a family with young kids in need of functional yet stylish interiors. Brightly colored, lacquered walls are the backdrop for the art which dictated the colors used. Custom built-ins and 3 dimensional walls add interest and definition to the spaces. This dressed up and sophisticated bathroom was outdated and did not work well as the main guest bath off the formal living and dining room. We just love how this transformation is sophisticated, unique and is such a complement to the formal living and dining area.
