The new Hooker Furniture Archivist round table and chairs invite all who enter a place of welcome and honor at the table and the canvas artwork depicting Lake Como announces the mood and intent of the room. Lemons placed on the table runner and and an olive tree set in a deep blue planter complete the mood of this space.
I'm delighted to share some holiday decor photos of this room, with one of my client's adorable cats playing host for this evening in the photos.

Because this kitchen only has a stove top they are able to fit storage drawers beneath the stove for use.

Bridging the gap between the kitchen and breakfast room is the wall with my black clock and small white and gold table. I merge the color scheme here from the red and green into the black and gold by adding pillows here from all of these colors to blend seamlessly. This crisp clean look provides a bit of relief and space between the other more heavily decorated areas.

The mixture of silver and gold add a whimsical feeling and the candles warm it up. This look works right through into New Year's Eve.

The shower in this remodeled bathroom is located where the bathtub previously was. It features a new vanity with granite countertops and rectangular undermount sinks. The brushed nickel faucets blend nicely with the grays in the granite and in the tiles. An accent tile adds interest to the shower while the floor tiles have a subtle strie pattern. A slipper bathtub is located where the shower was originally placed. A panel of textured glass provides a hint of division between the commode and shower in lieu of a solid wall.

I'm having a great time with Kraft paper this year and using ribbons and sprigs to coordinate my look. I also love to use wax seals to add texture to the wrapped packages.

Always need candles, everywhere during Halloween. This year I'm introducing some fun black and white pumpkin candles from Mackenzie Childs, along with her mini pumpkins, sending out a warning...

Farmhouse sinks are very popular and in this case it fits perfectly with the farmhouse look of this kitchen. Paneled dishwashers are a great idea if you don't want to break up the look of your cabinetry in the kitchen.

Good Witches need lots of inspiration and Fall is a great time to plant new seeds of thought and wishes for what we'd like to manifest and see blossom in the new year. It's always good to make a wish and then make the magic happen by believing in yourself and taking action!

Across from Scarlett is the area leading into the Breakfast Room where my fireplace mantel resides. You've seen this fireplace over the past year in many styles as I've updated it throughout the seasons. This year, to compliment Scarlett's look, the mantel is decorated in a coordinating style that I describe as - " Scottish Highlands Winter Solstice Holiday".
Here's a photo of the mantel in coordinating red and greens. I loosely gathered branches, berries and leaves to build height and interest here, giving the appearance of having just walked back in from the forest, where I then laid the branches upon the mantel.

This year, I explored the blues and greens into the mix that are making their debut into Fall, creating a less traditional theme. I added the whimsical black and white check pumpkins from Mackenzie Childs to create a very modern take on Fall.

Corner sinks are a great idea when there are no windows to design with in the kitchen space. Under cabinet lighting lights up this area.

Over in the breakfast room, I have a more modern look that ties into the fireplace by keeping with warm white colors to compliment the mantel. My seashell stays on the table year round and to give it a taste of the season, I've surrounded it in metallic decor, candles and bubbly garlands.

Chinoiserie is most often recognized in this classic timeless blue and white pottery, but if you look closely, you'll see she has some very interesting pieces, including a jar in a coral orange color on one of the shelves there from Frontgate.
Now that you know its name, you'll recognize chinoiserie in homes and resorts in the future and you might enjoy adding some pieces in your home. Blue and white is very on trend for 2020 and a piece or two added in your home adds a bit of classic luxurious feel to your home.

My client' s table runner is one she's used for many years. All of the items used on this tablescape were gathered from around her home using her existing fall decor. Combined all together on the table runner they make a eye catching display!
