Kurapia (Lippia nodiflora L. 'Kurapia') is a perennial, non-invasive groundcover that uses less water than cool-season fescue. It grows 1" high and each plant can spread up to 6' (yes, 6 feet). It will tolerate light foot traffic. Low maintenance, it will tolerate full sun or light shade.

This Farm Pond Renovation in York, PA included removal of the existing land bridge at the back side of the pond that was blocking the stream water flow and also clearing the aquatic weed and other invasive plants from the stream to allow for a better water flow to the ponds edge. We snaked the existing overflow pipe and attempted to clear it of any debris blocking the flow of water. For the new overflow we cleared the existing embankment and excavated a swale at the edge of the pond and created a natural looking stream overflow similar to one we would create in a typical backyard pond or water feature. This was done to prevent and stabilize the eroding bank along the pond edge. Also installed was a large scale pond aerator and aeration system to aide in the overall health and clarity of the pond.

Wheelchair accessible patios and paths were carefully built into the backyard woodland edge. A wide diversity of native and cultivated trees, shrubs, flowers and ferns were planted in the raingarden, sunny beds, shaded Japanese garden and oak woodlands.

Teak does not splinter which is nice to know if you use it for flooring but this is also very comforting to know when you use it as seating and dining furniture. It is heat tolerant in the way that it remains pleasant even when left in a hot environment – unlike metal, stone and plastic. Known to resist invasions of insects this resilient timber is also frequently used for outdoor flooring. Our teak furniture is constructed out of Grade-A timber, harvested from plantation grown teak forests which is managed by the government of Indonesia. Cushions are available separately.

Yarrow (Achillea) and Mexican Feather Grass (Nassella) make a great combo. Stipa is VERY invasive and I wouldn't use it again, but it is pretty!

The homeowner wanted to take an existing landscape and remove all of the plant material and install new shrubs. I came in and removed a Spruce tree that was going to become diseased and eventually the homeowner's would have to have it removed. I was able to plant the new plants right through the existing rocks. I planted Barberry, Hydrangeas, Ninebark, Boxwood, Cypress, and a Specimen Cedar Tree. The job was minimally invasive to the property.
