This amazing landscape project for old friends was an opportunity to design everything outside of the house. The tiered pool includes shear descent waterfalls, diving platform, deck jets and stepping stones across the water. A formal garden in the front yard features bluestone paver walkways. A fire pit by the bay sets the stage for relaxing evenings. A synthetic turf panel by the house provides a convenient relief spot for the family dog. Custom designed brick walls and gate screen the trash cans and provide access to the Owner's brother's house next door.

Completed in 2020, this impressive luxury estate was went through a complete renovation of the house and the entire property and gardens. This expansive estate creates a private oasis and retreat in the middle of Dallas. The estate includes a private lake with fountain features and stocked with fish, impressive entry gates, an expansive new driveway and front motor court arrival area, grand steps, stone retaining walls and a meandering path that wraps around the lake and offers a wonderful walking experience around the property. The gardens are spectacular and feature a variety of blooming shrubs, perennials and flowers to create a year round experience of color and texture for the owners. The perimeter of the property features mature privacy hedges and trees strategically placed to enhance the views from the house, while still providing glimpses into the property for the neighborhood. The existing swimming pool was completely renovated to create a tanning shelf for chaise lounges as well as a decorative tile, new plaster and canon fountain jets along the side to provide additional interest. The pool terrace, walkways and all exterior patios feature a beautiful limestone material that dresses up the outside living areas. Adjacent to the pool, the existing cabana structure was redone to create an outdoor kitchen and bar seating for friends and family. The wrap around porches on the backside of the house create inviting spaces for entertaining and offer incredible vistas overlooking the gardens and lake. In addition to the expansive garden areas, we planted dozens of mature and specimen trees throughout the property to help provide an instant impact and to also provide the garden another layer of beauty in the fall with the various fall colors offered by the tree selections. Along side the lake, we created multiple seating areas that offer the owners the opportunity to entertain and enjoy the property from many different angles and at different times of day. A large fire pit terrace was also included beside the lake creating a spectacular experience of water and fire. We also created recreation areas on the property for kids and adults alike. There is a dedicated playground areas with a large swing set for the kids as well as a new putting and chipping green to practice your short game.

Our team creatively worked to design the pool area and the outcome was a truly special place to swim and relax. The pool is the centerpiece of this backyard, it is a sleek design that seamlessly integrates into the landscape. It’s surrounded by a bluestone coping and a large patio made of Cambridge Pavers. The steps and retaining wall at the end of the pool are beautifully veneered with Berkshire natural stone. The stonework really tops off the hardscape, providing an appealing contrast to the paver patio material. There are two features that really set this pool apart – the pool fountain jets and the automatic cover. The homeowner wanted “fountains like the Bellagio.” We worked with Environmental Pools to make that dream a reality. It was a tough decision to opt either for an infinity edge or an automatic cover for the pool, the homeowner eventually decided that it would be a better investment to have the automatic pool cover. With the push of a button, the cover goes from totally hidden to completely covering the pool for safety and keeping any leaves or dirt getting into the water. Clients often comment on how happy they are with their automatic pool covers. Automatic covers drastically reduce the time necessary to clean and maintain the pool, leaving them more time to simply enjoy and unwind outside. This couple dreamt of having a spa-like master bathroom for their home. Their prior master bathroom was limited and did not have ample space to accommodate all their needs. We suggested taking advantage of some of the spare room area next door, to enlarge the master bathroom. The remaining area of that spare room became a dressing room with new windows to allow daylight and to join new custom closet room. Another desire was separate his and her commode/bidet rooms. We designed two dedicated areas for them with a middle area provided for a large set of whirlpools under the window. The remaining space from adjacent room turned into a large gorgeous floor to ceiling, stone covered walk-in shower with multi showerheads, rain shower, body spray and other amenities. Adjacent to the left, there is a large wall covered with double vanities, custom cabinets, glamorous lighting and other features. We added large scale porcelain floor tiles with heated floors, decorative glass accent of shower and vanity walls. A frost glass door to the master bathroom, toilet room and dressing area allows maximum daylight into this distinct and classy master bathroom. Additionally, vanity walls with vessel sink, wall mount faucet and wallpaper looking custom back wall tile finishes this master bathroom.
