We really like the mix of chair styles around the island. Also if you have a good deal of space, perhaps incorporating a beverage fridge might work. No more running to a second fridge when you would like to open a bottle of wine while entertaining friends and family. Notice the blue beadboard behind the glass doors cabinet - it really helps to show off the pretty white dishware inside.

Notice there are many banks of drawers in this kitchen. It could have gone with less drawers, however this is a custom kitchen where the client gets what works best for them. That's the beauty of designing a kitchen that is not cookie cutter, but each piece is designed, and made just for that kitchen - truly custom!

Although these appliances are pretty enough to show off. The dishwasher front is a matching cabinet panel - see island (it is the panel between the sink cabinet and bank of drawers cabinet). By doing this there is no break in the flow of the island cabinetry.

Our favourite line in renovating - "Measure Twice, Cut Once" realy applies to the lining up the sink cabinet with the cook top/range hood cabinets. Measurements have to be accurate so that the sink plumbing, gas hook ups for the cooktop plus venting for the range hood are in the correct places. Perfection!
