The remarkable Greek inspired indoor pool facility has a blend of contemporary rectilinear components with Greek-Roman architectural elements and finishes, such as the over-extending, ancient-style aqueduct that transitions from the spa into the pool, and the hand carved fire-water features at each end of the room. The aqueduct is a key relevance to the style which portrays an ancient cultural method of elutriating stagnant bath water with a continuous supply of fresh water. Each elaborately hand carved feature sets a mood of Greek architectural expression in this space. The two fire-water features at each end of the pool and all of the column structural support depict a ‘Doric’ style consisting of channeled columns. Also, to enhance this space with a full perspective of Greek-Roman style, the convex ceiling depicts a vision of an opened-ceiling that reveals a fully animated Greek-mythological star setting created by fiber optic lighting. Geothermal technology is the primary source for heating and cooling the pool and spa. Although they appear to be one body of water, they are independent so the spa can be maintained at 103degrees all year round.

Chic is a French word associated with stylishness, while Rustic means related to, or suitable for the country.Together, Rustic Chic is an interior design alchemy, the chic suggesting culture, fashion and trendiness, while the Rustic element idealizes a natural pastoral charm.
This style tends to reclaim the old, and reinvent materials characterized by imperfect finishes. Rough-hewn finishes, marks, divots, scratches and imperfections are purposeful. The materials themselves often provide historical reference (either real or imagined) and are incorporated to balance hardness (think steel, iron and brick) with the softness of modern furniture and softgoods.
Exposed brick walls can be a key component of this look, but wallpapers can do the job if you aren’t fortunate enough to have the real thing.
Scaffold planks, exposed conduit, timber and fencing can be added to create a depth of character; and when paired with modern styled furnishings and accoutrements – this is a fresh, nostalgic minded trend that we’ll be seeing well through 2020.

The electric is the most commonly overlooked component to any TV install. Everyone seems to consider how they're going to connect everything, but rarely do our customers consider how they'll power it.
It's against code to fish your TV's power cable thru the wall (or any product's power cable for that matter). In addition, installing a traditional outlet behind the TV typically leaves the TV susceptible to a power surge.
As a result, we typically install a power bridge. See the diagram below.
Start at the bottom right of the diagram with the standard electric outlet. It's important to start with this outlet because you're essentially plugging your TV into this outlet. The bridge simply extends it safely thru the wall to the TV via standard ROMEX electrical wiring.
Aside from avoiding unsightly exposed power cables, the key advantage to the power bridge is the ability to run your entire system -- mounted TV and all components -- thru a surge protector. As shown above, the surge protector plugs into the wall and everything else plugs into it.
When installed, the top and bottom portion of the power bridge are about the size of a standard quad outlet. See below for an image of where we marked off the bottom portion of the power bridge to cutout. This gives you size perspective in comparison to a standard cable or dual electric outlet.

Small Craftsman remodel featuring exposed new trusses and beams, wood cabinetry and stained glass panels. Nature is the key componant, with green, browns, golds and featuring rock, and tree leaded glass. Kitchen island has an olive colored island with green slabs, the range backsplash tile is custom painted. His and her counters in the master bath.
Location: Montecito, Santa Barbara, CA. Designed by Maraya Interior Design. From their beautiful resort town of Ojai, they serve clients in Montecito, Hope Ranch, Malibu, Westlake and Calabasas, across the tri-county areas of Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles, south to Hidden Hills- north through Solvang and more.

When old turf wasn’t delivering the best conditions for this soccer field, the ForeverLawn Emerald Coast team was called in to provide a superior, lasting solution. A customized version of SportsGrass® Edge XP was installed—75,420 square feet to be exact—to create a full-sized soccer field and three smaller ones. These fields are used in the community by adults and children alike for various soccer leagues. ForeverLawn customized the turf by shortening the pile height to 1.5 inches, increasing the stitch count to retain the original face weight, and adding XStatic® anti-static technology. XStatic® is a vital component in this project because there have been problems with static across the city. Installation was key for the success of this field, so we installed a Schmitz ProPlay 20 shock pad under the turf and used USGreentech’s Envirofill 12/20 rather than rubber infill. In just two weeks, this community got four beautiful new soccer fields that are safe, durable, and provide an attractive feature to local soccer leagues.

The objective was to create a warm neutral space to later customize to a specific colour palate/preference of the end user for this new construction home being built to sell. A high-end contemporary feel was requested to attract buyers in the area. An impressive kitchen that exuded high class and made an impact on guests as they entered the home, without being overbearing. The space offers an appealing open floorplan conducive to entertaining with indoor-outdoor flow.
Due to the spec nature of this house, the home had to remain appealing to the builder, while keeping a broad audience of potential buyers in mind. The challenge lay in creating a unique look, with visually interesting materials and finishes, while not being so unique that potential owners couldn’t envision making it their own. The focus on key elements elevates the look, while other features blend and offer support to these striking components. As the home was built for sale, profitability was important; materials were sourced at best value, while retaining high-end appeal. Adaptations to the home’s original design plan improve flow and usability within the kitchen-greatroom. The client desired a rich dark finish. The chosen colours tie the kitchen to the rest of the home (creating unity as combination, colours and materials, is repeated throughout).

A traditional 1926 cottage was transformed into a stunning, contemporary home. The focal point from both inside and out is a 3-story floating wood and stainless staircase, showcased by oversized windows and dramatic lighting. Walnut cabinetry with a distinct stain and natural slab surfaces offset the metals used throughout – Including at the interior and exterior of the fireplace. Reclaimed wood floors pay homage to the industrial area the home is situated in.
In designing this home restrictions set forth by the building department were key. For instance, in order for the project to be considered a remodel the existing 8’ tall perimeter walls had to remain in place. The homeowners desperately wanted 9’ tall ceilings, so with crafty engineering and framing we were able to embellish the existing wall framing to achieve the added height.
Clearstory windows allow much needed light into the spaces and creates the illusion of spaciousness, while maintaining wall areas for key furnishings and artwork. Every inch of space maximizes storage throughout the 2,600 square foot home.
A cabinet for shoe storage immediately inside the front door also serves as a key component at the staircase and provides a platform to highlight sculptural artwork. Unique products and details, such as a metal link shower curtain and custom built-in guest beds with strategically placed outlets and horizontal surfaces to allow for electronics to be close at hand, elevate this home to the next level.
