A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…
A returning client wished to create an office environment that would refuel his childhood and current passion: Star Wars. Creating exhibit-style surroundings to incorporate iconic elements from the epic franchise was key to the success for this home office.
A life-sized statue of Harrison Ford’s character Han Solo, a longstanding piece of the homeowner’s collection, is now featured in a custom glass display case is the room’s focal point. The glowing backlit pattern behind the statue is a reference to the floor design shown in the scene featuring Han being frozen in carbonite.
The command center is surrounded by iconic patterns custom-designed in backlit laser-cut metal panels. The exquisite millwork around the room was refinished, and porcelain floor slabs were cut in a pattern to resemble the chess table found on the legendary spaceship Millennium Falcon. A metal-clad fireplace with a hidden television mounting system, an iridescent ceiling treatment, wall coverings designed to add depth, a custom-designed desk made by a local artist, and an Italian rocker chair that appears to be from a galaxy, far, far, away... are all design elements that complete this once-in-a-galaxy home office that would make any Jedi proud.

The objective was to create a warm neutral space to later customize to a specific colour palate/preference of the end user for this new construction home being built to sell. A high-end contemporary feel was requested to attract buyers in the area. An impressive kitchen that exuded high class and made an impact on guests as they entered the home, without being overbearing. The space offers an appealing open floorplan conducive to entertaining with indoor-outdoor flow.
Due to the spec nature of this house, the home had to remain appealing to the builder, while keeping a broad audience of potential buyers in mind. The challenge lay in creating a unique look, with visually interesting materials and finishes, while not being so unique that potential owners couldn’t envision making it their own. The focus on key elements elevates the look, while other features blend and offer support to these striking components. As the home was built for sale, profitability was important; materials were sourced at best value, while retaining high-end appeal. Adaptations to the home’s original design plan improve flow and usability within the kitchen-greatroom. The client desired a rich dark finish. The chosen colours tie the kitchen to the rest of the home (creating unity as combination, colours and materials, is repeated throughout).

Although the architecture is contemporary and the overall design is modern and sophisticated, the use of color and key accessories make this home feel warm and inviting.

Siesta Key Low Country kitchen featuring wood paneled appliances, gas stove, and doorway out to the screened-in porch.
This is a very well detailed custom home on a smaller scale, measuring only 3,000 sf under a/c. Every element of the home was designed by some of Sarasota's top architects, landscape architects and interior designers. One of the highlighted features are the true cypress timber beams that span the great room. These are not faux box beams but true timbers. Another awesome design feature is the outdoor living room boasting 20' pitched ceilings and a 37' tall chimney made of true boulders stacked over the course of 1 month.

The stonework underfoot had to subtly lead people from one part of the backyard to another; to be eye-catching, yet understated. Not only did each of these spaces have to be welcoming and functional, but the yard as a whole had to be visually pleasing. Techo-Bloc products were a key element in maintaining overall harmony while highlighting individual areas.

Today, almost any activity you enjoy inside your home you can bring to the outside. Depending on your budget, your outdoor room can be simple, with a stamped concrete patio, a grill and a table for dining, or more elaborate with a fully functional outdoor kitchen complete with concrete countertops for preparing and serving food, a sink and a refrigerator. You can take the concept even further by adding such amenities as a concrete pizza oven, a fireplace or fire-pit, a concrete bar-top for serving cocktails, an architectural concrete fountain, landscape lighting and concrete statuary.
Cooking
Something to cook with, such as a barbecue grill or wood-fired pizza oven, and countertops for food preparation and serving are key elements in a well-designed outdoor kitchen. Concrete countertops offer the advantages of weather resistance and versatility, since they can be formed into any shape you desire to suit the space. A coat of sealer will simplify cleanup by protecting your countertop from stains. Other amenities, such as concrete bar-tops and outdoor sinks with plumbing, can expand your entertainment options.
Hearth
Wood-burning or gas fireplaces, fire pits, chimineas and portable patio heaters extend the enjoyment of outdoor living well into the evening while creating a cozy conversation area for people to gather around.
Perhaps you have realized there is more to life than work and gathering around a TV at the end of the day. A custom-built, outdoor living area allows you to entertain friends, spend time with your family or just unwind after a long day. Our customers all agree, a custom built outdoor living area brings people together.
With the addition of a patio cover or pergola, your backyard and landscape can be transformed into a scenic extension of your residence or even a luxurious entertainment area. Our services have made possible the creation of outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, shady playgrounds, spas, arts studios, reading havens and living rooms.

Overview
Whole house refurbishment, double storey wrap around extension and large loft conversion.
The Brief
Create a WOW factor space, add glamour and fun and give the house a street side and garden side, both different.
Our Solution
This project was exciting from the start, the client wanted to entertain in a WOW factor space, have a panoramic view of the garden (which was to be landscaped), add bedrooms and a great master suite.
We had some key elements to introduce such as an aquarium separating two rooms; double height spaces and a gloss kitchen, all of which manifest themselves in the completed scheme.
Architecture is a process taking a schedule of areas, some key desires and needs, mixing the functionality and creating space.
New spaces transform a house making it more valuable, giving it kerb appeal and making it feel like a different building. All of which happened at Ailsa Road.

A groundbreaking residential construction project in Connecticut, executed by HSL Builders, challenges the stereotypical notion of modern architecture as a mere "box." The innovative design, spearheaded by architect George Dumitru, revolves around a dynamic pinwheel concept. The central atrium serves as the project's focal point, with four cantilevered second-story bedrooms creating a visually centrifugal effect. Transparency is a key element, evident in the glazed atrium and open floor plan, fostering a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Embracing Connecticut's natural landscape, the design minimizes interference to maximize picturesque vistas. This collaborative effort, led by HSL Builders, showcases inventive design elements that go beyond the traditional, redefining the essence of modern residential construction.

The design was inspired by natural elements, the classical architecture of the home and the magnificent view out the large window to the treed backyard. Scale and proportion were key elements in the design that are showcased in the floor to ceiling wall tile in the shower, over-sized mirror, luxurious double vanity and large-format cement grey floor tiles. Upon entering, the space feels simultaneously peaceful yet powerful, serene yet bold, classic yet edgy.
All the finishes selected are hand-polished, richly plated and timeless. Everything about this space is elevated and luxurious. In its design we created a sensual experience, a sanctuary, a place to feel pampered. It is like a visit to a fine hotel- in classic style.

The homeowners love to entertain, and they wanted an open and airy space for doing so. Key elements of this transitional design brought this dream space to life for these homeowners.
The fire lounge area at mid-level steals the show in this space – with stadium seating around the fire feature, there is plenty of room for those large gatherings, yet the area still feels cozy and inviting. Having no rails at all was key to the design. It gave the entire outdoor space that open and airy feel the homeowner’s wanted. Notice how the space was brilliantly designed to echo the shape of the house.

The Saint Elias Ukrainian Church Parish House uses key elements of the existing Church and Bell Tower designed by the late Robert Greenberg. As part of the larger Master Plan to be implemented in stages over the coming years, the objective with this project was to blend contemporary detailing and building technology with an already defined aesthetic of Western Ukrainian architecture.
The solution is an example of old meets new. Architectural elements from the church, including post-and-beam construction, are juxtaposed with such details as double-height windows and an open staircase. Private areas are compact so that square footage is available for flexible common areas.

There are a small number of cities in the world where luxury and lifestyle enthusiasts would aim to live. One of them is Dubai, a realm of high end living, glamour and complexity. Possessing a luxury address in this culturally rich city is for sure a exceptional treat. For those of you who can actually afford one, this penthouse which is Signature Stagers’ end of the year work of art is a very engaging proposal.
This penthouse we staged at the start of November 2015 has been lingering on the market for about 2 years prior to our meeting the owner. It is located in the exclusive Dubai Marina district among a few other select buildings and is currently for sale with Verzun on a POA (Price on application) basis due to its unique stature and lifestyle element which removes it from the “square foot” mentality and elevates it from its competition within the same building.
The penthouse was renovated prior to staging, and the apartment itself displays a fresh and modern look whilst keeping its classic and initial fit out and design.
Although a few key elements of the penthouse’s original architecture were retained, this neo-classical approach we decided on contributed to the dwellings select and sophisticated appeal numerous novel and sharply modern features which are also present around the residence, thus safeguarding its uniqueness and extremely fascinating form.
Swaggering 14,000 square feet this splendid home is apposite to a family as much as it is for the traveling executive who desires an exclusive and ultra-private address in Dubai. Enjoying 5 bedrooms all en-suite including a master bedroom with a sunset that decorates the floor to ceiling windows with a purple-orange and that by itself is a deal closer!

Kate & Mike wanted to transform their kitchen into a fresh, functional, and stylish space. Their goals were clear: a modern layout, improve functionality, and add personalized touches while retaining key elements.
During the design phase, careful planning ensured every detail, from cabinet storage to lighting placement, aligned with their vision for a bright and efficient kitchen.
New Waypoint Painted Linen cabinets redefined the space with clean, timeless style, enhanced by traditional crown molding and square light rail molding. Elements Slade Satin Nickel knobs and pulls completed the design.
Quartzite Blue Tahoe countertops were chosen to elevate the kitchen's appeal. The surface was unified to one level, with a stunning waterfall end and a 12-inch overhang extending into the living room for added seating and function.
A Vintage Grey Scallop Mesh backsplash was installed under the upper cabinets and above the stovetop, adding texture and personality to the space.
A new Alfi Farmhouse Fireclay Single Basin Sink was installed, paired with a Delta Essa Arctic Stainless Pull-Down Faucet and a new InSinkErator Badger garbage disposal with an air switch for added convenience.
The kitchen layout was redefined by extending the peninsula and cutting down the pony wall to match cabinet height. The soffit was removed to open up the ceiling, with new drywall and texture seamlessly integrated.
