The kitchen was created in collaboration with Smallbone of Devizes. The electronic stove from Wolf has a stainless steel finish and allows residents to choose from ten different cooking modes with even temperatures and airflow throughout. The available dual fuel ranges are natural or LP gas. The refrigerator is a product of Sub-Zero and is built into the surrounding cabinetry. To ensure freshness of food and water, the refrigerator features an air purification system, that reduces stench, odors, bacteria and viruses. The residents will be accustom to cleaning without error, with the help of their fully integrated dishwasher from Miele.

Stylish brewery owners with airline miles that match George Clooney’s decided to hire Regan Baker Design to transform their beloved Duboce Park second home into an organic modern oasis reflecting their modern aesthetic and sustainable, green conscience lifestyle. From hops to floors, we worked extensively with our design savvy clients to provide a new footprint for their kitchen, dining and living room area, redesigned three bathrooms, reconfigured and designed the master suite, and replaced an existing spiral staircase with a new modern, steel staircase. We collaborated with an architect to expedite the permit process, as well as hired a structural engineer to help with the new loads from removing the stairs and load bearing walls in the kitchen and Master bedroom. We also used LED light fixtures, FSC certified cabinetry and low VOC paint finishes. Regan Baker Design was responsible for the overall schematics, design development, construction documentation, construction administration, as well as the selection and procurement of all fixtures, cabinets, equipment, furniture,and accessories. Admittedly, not afraid of color, the homeowner loved Alan's suggestion of adding the wood veneer to the mix of cabinetry, adding an additional layer of interest and the addition of texture. Open-plan kitchen and dining of a new construction single-level home in Orinda, CA, designed by CB Architecture + Design and featured in Dwell Magazine. Flat-front slate blue upper cabinets run the full length of the kitchen wall, framed by warm walnut lower cabinets and a matching full-height walnut appliance tower housing integrated stainless steel refrigerator, double oven, and open shelving; a mid-century inspired material palette executed with contemporary precision. White quartz countertops and a simple white tile backsplash keep the composition clean between the two dominant materials. Blue kitchen island with white quartz countertop features an integrated sink with a professional-grade pull-down faucet, extending into a cantilevered butcher block dining table with slatted walnut base detail, seamlessly connecting kitchen and dining in a single furniture-like piece. Four black molded shell dining chairs with oak legs surround the dining extension. Two oversized white globe pendant lights drop from the double-height white ceiling above. The sink base features two full extension rollouts that handle trash and recyclables in the front and have divided storage for cleaning supplies in the back. No more getting on your hands and knees to access this cabinet. Idea found in Fine Homebuilding magazine. Small tilt drawer holds sponges. There is a stainless steel undermount sink and a Delta faucet and soap dispenser.

The most dramatic part of this remodel is taking out the non load bearing wall to the family room. We kept columns on either side of the island to run electrical for the island since this house is on a slab. We added extra cabinets for a butler pantry and wine fridge storage.

The wet bar includes a built-in wine cooler and a highlight in this stunning kitchen renovation is the ceiling hung glass and metal shelving unit that is truly a piece of art.

Wall between kitchen and dining was removed for easy flow and combining of spaces. Extra doorway to mudroom removed. All new cabinets, pantry, ref,wall micro (not shown). Engr quartz countertops, tile splash, natural oak floating shelves, site finished red oak stained floors.
