The materials in the room are soothing and give a nice vintage vibe in keeping with the rest of the home. We completed a kitchen remodel for this client a few years’ ago and were delighted when she contacted us for help with her master bath! The bathroom was fine but was lacking in interesting design elements, and the shower was very small. We started by eliminating the shower curb which allowed us to enlarge the footprint of the shower all the way to the edge of the bathtub, creating a modified wet room. The shower is pitched toward a linear drain so the water stays in the shower. A glass divider allows for the light from the window to expand into the room, while a freestanding tub adds a spa like feel. The radiator was removed and both heated flooring and a towel warmer were added to provide heat. Since the unit is on the top floor in a multi-unit building it shares some of the heat from the floors below, so this was a great solution for the space. The custom vanity includes a spot for storing styling tools and a new built in linen cabinet provides plenty of the storage. The doors at the top of the linen cabinet open to stow away towels and other personal care products, and are lighted to ensure everything is easy to find. The doors below are false doors that disguise a hidden storage area. The hidden storage area features a custom litterbox pull out for the homeowner’s cat! Her kitty enters through the cutout, and the pull out drawer allows for easy clean ups. The materials in the room – white and gray marble, charcoal blue cabinetry and gold accents – have a vintage vibe in keeping with the rest of the home. Polished nickel fixtures and hardware add sparkle, while colorful artwork adds some life to the space.

A 55" wide laundry closet packs it in. The closet's former configuration was side by side machines on pedestals with a barely accessible shelf above. By stacking the machines, there was enough room for a small counter for folding, a drying bar and a few more accessible shelves. The best part is there is now also room for the kitty litter box. Unseen in the photo is the concealed cat door. Note that the support panel for the countertop has been notched out in the back to provide easy access to the water shut off to the clothes washer. Fozzy knows we can’t reach him up on the highest cat shelf in the catio! While renovating our 1920s vintage bungalow we wanted a special place for the cats so we added a screened-in porch also known as the cat porch as it's designed to please the indoor cats and keep them entertained all day. Two cat doors on either side of our front door lead out to the screened front porch so that everyone can come and go as they please. There are also walkways, corner platforms, and a sisal rope fireman's pole so they can climb up and down it like a tree and use it for a scratch post.

Our client has two very active cats so to keep them off the counters and table; we created a cat walk out of reclaimed barn boards. On one wall they go up and down and they can go up and over the cabinets in the kitchen. It keeps them content when she is out for long hours and it also gives them somewhere to go up.

This laundry room/mudroom combo keeps not only shoes organized, but pet care as well. Cabinets store pet supplies, laundry supplies and more neatly behind beautiful Artic White doors. Counter tops give room for folding and other chores. Pet crates and litter boxes tuck away underneath all that great storage, and pull out baskets house shoes and boots.

This laundry / mud room was created with optimal storage using Waypoint 604S standard overlay cabinets in Painted Cashmere color with a raised panel door. The countertop is Wilsonart in color Betty. A Blanco Silgranit single bowl top mount sink with an Elkay Pursuit Flexible Spout faucet was also installed.
