A mound of fast draining soil, boulders, and a Chilopsis & Manzanita tree added height and better planting conditions to a flat yard of compacted dirt. This project transforms a plain front yard by introducing a striking curved retaining wall crafted from white and cream stones, topped with a smooth beige cap. The wall creates a focal point that brings texture and architectural interest to the space. In front of the wall, a variety of small plants have been newly installed and will grow to add seasonal color and softness. Behind the wall, a gently sculpted grassy mound enhances the landscape’s flow, extending naturally toward the front walkway on the left. Together, these elements elevate the curb appeal while maintaining a clean and welcoming aesthetic.
