Ulrich Designer: Tom Santarsiero Photography by Peter Rymwid This is a master bath with subtle sophistication and understated elegance. The cabinets were custom designed by Tom, with straight, simple lines, and custom built by Draper DBS of walnut, with a deep, rich brown finish. The richness of the dark cabinetry juxtaposed with the elegance of the white carrara marble on the countertop, wall and floors contributes to the room's sophistication. Ample storage is found in the large vanity and an armoire style cabinet, designed to mimic a free-standing furniture piece, that is positioned behind the door. Architectural beams placed across the vaulted ceiling bring a sense of scale to the room and invite natural light in through the skylight.

The challenge for this project was that, while the homeowner desired all of the luxury amenities of a deluxe master bath, space was extremely limited. Therefore efficient space planning was critical in achieving the final design. Use of custom painted cabinetry and carrara marble countertops were the basis for this compact yet luxurious bathroom design. Careful attention was given to the tone of the finishes in order to keep this eastern-exposure bathroom light and bright. White trim and crown moulding was used in contrast to the putty colored walls. In keeping with the era of the home, a hand-glazed white ceramic subway tile was used in the soaking tub alcove. Nickel plated bath, lavatory, tub and shower fixtures in the vintage style were used alongside modern amenities such as recessed halogen lighting, electric towel warmers and radiant-heated tile flooring.

Designed by Daniel Altmann of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Bethesda, MD these contemporary bathroom remodels features Ultracraft Destiny cabinets in the Adriatic door style with a Gloss White foil finish. Trendy master porcelain tile bedroom photo in Miami with white walls

Our carpenters labored every detail from chainsaws to the finest of chisels and brad nails to achieve this eclectic industrial design. This project was not about just putting two things together, it was about coming up with the best solutions to accomplish the overall vision. A true meeting of the minds was required around every turn to achieve "rough" in its most luxurious state. The goal of this project was to upgrade the builder grade finishes and create an ergonomic space that had a contemporary feel. This bathroom transformed from a standard, builder grade bathroom to a contemporary urban oasis. This was one of my favorite projects, I know I say that about most of my projects but this one really took an amazing transformation. By removing the walls surrounding the shower and relocating the toilet it visually opened up the space. Creating a deeper shower allowed for the tub to be incorporated into the wet area. Adding a LED panel in the back of the shower gave the illusion of a depth and created a unique storage ledge. A custom vanity keeps a clean front with different storage options and linear limestone draws the eye towards the stacked stone accent wall. Using light flooring in the form of natural lime stone 12x24 tiles with a linear pattern, it really draws the eye down the length of the room which is what we needed. Then, breaking up the space a little with the stone pebble flooring in the shower, this client enjoyed his time living in Japan and wanted to incorporate some of the elements that he appreciated while living there. The dark stacked stone feature wall behind the tub is the perfect backdrop for the LED panel, giving the illusion of a window and also creates a cool storage shelf for the tub. A narrow, but tasteful, oval freestanding tub fit effortlessly in the back of the shower. With a sloped floor, ensuring no standing water either in the shower floor or behind the tub, every thought went into engineering this Atlanta bathroom to last the test of time. With now adequate space in the shower, there was space for adjacent shower heads controlled by Kohler digital valves. A hand wand was added for use and convenience of cleaning as well. On the vanity are semi-vessel sinks which give the appearance of vessel sinks, but with the added benefit of a deeper, rounded basin to avoid splashing. Wall mounted faucets add sophistication as well as less cleaning maintenance over time. The custom vanity is streamlined with drawers, doors and a pull out for a can or hamper. A wonderful project and equally wonderful client. I really enjoyed working with this client and the creative direction of this project. This masculine and modern Onyx Nuvolato marble bar and feature wall is perfect for hosting everything from game-day events to large cocktail parties. The onyx countertops and feature wall are backlit with LED lights to create a warm glow throughout the room. The remnants from this project were fashioned to create a matching backlit fireplace. Open shelving provides storage and display, while a built in tap provides quick access and easy storage for larger bulk items.

Working with the interior designer to create a moody modern powder room, we backlit the mirror and hung a modern pendant light over the sink. The mirror backlight goes from the ceiling to the floor. Inspiration for a large transitional master bedroom remodel in Atlanta with gray walls

The bath has no natural light. To create a sense of spatial depth and layering of light, 3 L-shaped panels were positioned throughout the room. One central panel joins the back wall with the ceiling. Another panel links two walls in the back corner of the tub. The third panel carries the mirror at the vanity. Each panel is outlined with waterproof LED strips recessed behind its edge. Diffuse light emanates from behind the panels and they appearance to float. The face of each panel is divided into two surfaces striking a datum line at 74 inches above the floor. The vanity panel has mirror on the lower portion and flat white paint above. The tub and middle panels are semi-gloss grey colored paint below and white flat paint above. The central panel is a nod to the Ellsworth Kelly painting at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation in St Louis. The same matte finish tile is used on the floor and walls. All exposed tile edges were finished with aluminum angles. The same tile floor was used in the owner’s closet featuring lacquered cabinets and a back-lit vanity panel.

Ruffles update the teen girl's bedroom because of their unexpected circular overlapping pattern on the bedding. The shams bring another layer of ruffle into play, as does the crinoline in the chair's accent pillow. The mirrored dressers and gothic mirrors over the pieces help expand and brighten the room.
