Inspiration for a mid-sized contemporary l-shaped gray floor kitchen remodel in Tampa with an undermount sink, shaker cabinets, white cabinets, white backsplash, stainless steel appliances, an island, stone slab backsplash and quartz countertops

Positioned to provide access from all areas of the home, this sleek kitchen emphasizes specialty work zones, with a highly functioning triangle existing between refrigerator, prep, and cooking areas. A Thermador appliance package includes a 36” induction cooktop, steam oven, warming drawer, conventional oven, and double-door builit-in refrigerator. Installed in the island are integrated appliances such as a drawer microwave, dishwasher and a U-line wine cooling unit with dual controls. The island sink has a touchless faucet and garbage disposal system. Contrasting cabinet colors and the use of two different countertop surfaces are melded together with a vibrant coordinating tile backsplash. Hand painted outlets are hidden in plain sight in the backsplash. LED lighting in the upper and lower cabinets are accented by pendant lights over the island. Additional ceiling RAB LED lighting can be adjusted per mood and occasion. Disappearing sliding doors surround the kitchen carrying the sense of the outside throughout the interior.

This small apartment is an occasional get away for a Colorado family. Starting with a concrete shell each custom element was carefully placed to complete this modern unit. Custom veneer paneling, glass pocket doors, stainless counters, etched glass panels, aluminum finned grills and a suspended wine refrigerator are just a few of the components. Custom made bedspread is a zebra print with a linen weave dust ruffle similar to mesquito netting. Underneath the bed is an uplight to illuminate through the transparent dust ruffle as if bed was floating or actually a hammock in a jungle hut. The light in from Schonbek; crystal and LED in turquoise. The night stand is an aluminum locker where an explorer would store 'gear'. The custom made, 5' tall, leather headboard has scrolled nail heads for interest. The bulletin board over the nightstand will hold all her favorite photos and ticket stubs and will be the last thing she sees before going to sleep each night.
