At 37.5 inches, the peninsula is high enough (I'm only 5'2") to use for a stand up computer station - another popular paleo value.

This modern lake house is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The residence overlooks a mountain lake with expansive mountain views beyond. The design ties the home to its surroundings and enhances the ability to experience both home and nature together. The entry level serves as the primary living space and is situated into three groupings; the Great Room, the Guest Suite and the Master Suite. A glass connector links the Master Suite, providing privacy and the opportunity for terrace and garden areas.

Example of a huge transitional light wood floor eat-in kitchen design in Seattle with an undermount sink, white cabinets, stainless steel appliances, an island, gray countertops, shaker cabinets, multicolored backsplash and stone slab backsplash

A choice of red painted cabinets on the island breaks up the expansion of white in this space. Clean lines and a simple shaker door stay in trend with current styles. Cambria quartz on the countertops in Laneshaw, compliment the color palette beautifully. Photo by Brian Walters
