We added a second level addition above an existing garage at this Northgate home to create a family room with kitchenette, two kids’ bedrooms, a bathroom and a deck. The new indoor and outdoor areas provide much needed additional space for kids who are quickly becoming teens and the family will be able to take advantage of the beautiful summer weather. Converted expansive lower level basement space into a multi-purpose functional family room. A large, deep sofa from Restoration Hardware was positioned in front of a large media cabinet for TV and movie watching. Hammered metal storage coffee tables store toys, books and games. A tufted wool rug was placed over new hardwood floors for added comfort and a pop of color. On the opposite side of the room, built-in storage flanks a gas fireplace, creating a perfect nook for playing games around a circular table. New window coverings and paint complete the space.

DuraSupreme Cabinetry This timeless and classic kitchen informed the main living and lower level renovation with white and grey as the palette, and sophisticated details at every turn. Stylized shaker cabinetry took the cabinets to a new level with chrome hardware, soft close doors, and modern appliances that make it a dream kitchen for any cook. By knocking down the existing dining room wall, the kitchen expanded graciously and now includes a large seated island treated with furniture-like details in a soft dark grey. The white and grey tones play beautifully off the warm hand scraped wood floor that runs throughout the main level, providing a warmth underfoot. Openings were widened to allow for a more open floor plan and an extra wide barn door adds style to the front entrance. Additional dining was added to the former dining room as a breakfast nook complete with storage bench seating. A wine bar is tucked into a corner next to the living area allowing for easy access when entertaining. dRemodeling also built in a custom bookshelf/entertainment area as well as a new mantle and tile surround. The upstairs closet was removed to allow for a larger foyer. The lower level features a newly organized laundry room that is wrapped in traditional wainscoting along one wall and the ceiling. New gym with mirrored walls was faced the backyard with a large window. The main room was separated into an entertaining area with large bar and cabinetry, and some built INS facing the backyard. A new French door & window was added to back wall to allow more natural light. Built ins covered with light color natural maple wood tones, we were capturing his nature lifestyle. Through a double glass French door now you enter the state of the art movie theater room. Ceiling star panels, steps row seating, a large screen panel with black velvet curtains has made this space an Icon’s paradise. We have used embedded high quality speakers and surround sound equipped with all new era of projectors, receivers and multiple playing gadgets. The staircase to main level and closet space were redesigned allowing him additional hallway and storage space that he required to have, Intrigued color schemes and fascinating equipment’s has made this basement a place for serenity and excitement

The upper level of this gorgeous Trex deck is the central entertaining and dining space and includes a beautiful concrete fire table and a custom cedar bench that floats over the deck. The dining space is defined by the stunning, cantilevered, aluminum pergola above and cable railing along the edge of the deck. Adjacent to the pergola is a covered grill and prep space. Light brown custom cedar screen walls provide privacy along the landscaped terrace and compliment the warm hues of the decking. Clean, modern light fixtures are also present in the deck steps, along the deck perimeter, and throughout the landscape making the space well-defined in the evening as well as the daytime.
