The Tiny Farmhouse Kitchen is by far one of the most complex, rewarding, and unforgettable projects we’ve ever completed. Designed to be fully mobile and 100% solar-powered, this one-of-a-kind kitchen on wheels pushed our creativity, craftsmanship, and problem-solving skills to new heights. Every time we transported it through town, it turned heads—people would literally stop in their tracks just to get a closer look. Building a fully functional commercial kitchen in such a small footprint required precision in every detail. We carefully selected each piece of equipment to minimize electrical draw, including a commercial refrigerator and four recessed induction food warmers—all powered entirely by solar energy. Onboard water storage, filtration, and gray water management were meticulously engineered to maximize both functionality and space. Inspired by luxury fitness facilities, this home gym is designed for stylish multifunctional use. A slatted wood wall provided a zen-like ambiance, floor to ceiling mirrors created visual openness, and strong graphic architectural details, in a tonal materials palette, enhanced the overall space. A linear lighting plan, custom storage feature, and mylar-backed wallpapers gave dimension and personality. Whether power lifting, meditative yoga, or relaxing in the glass-boxed sauna, this home gym is sure to inspire.

The Glo A5 double pane windows and doors were utilized for their cost-effective durability and efficiency. The A5 Series provides a thermally-broken aluminum frame with multiple air seals, low iron glass, argon filled glazing, and low-e coating. These features create an unparalleled double-pane product equipped for the variant northern temperatures of the region. With u-values as low as 0.280, these windows ensure year-round comfort.

The owners desired a renovation that was both transitional and classical. They chose Rutt Ruskin cabinetry with walnut drawers for their modest galley-style kitchen layout. The space was equipped with Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove appliances, along with every pullout and rollout imaginable. Featuring a classic Rutt Ruskin hood and Blum Servo-Drive lifts on the doors, this project lacked nothing. The ceiling was opened up to create a spacious dining area and a functional mudroom, complete with a mirror and a well-stocked bar for unwinding after a long day.

This is a great house. Perched high on a private, heavily wooded site, it has a rustic contemporary aesthetic. Vaulted ceilings, sky lights, large windows and natural materials punctuate the main spaces. The existing large format mosaic slate floor grabs your attention upon entering the home extending throughout the foyer, kitchen, and family room. Specific requirements included a larger island with workspace for each of the homeowners featuring a homemade pasta station which requires small appliances on lift-up mechanisms as well as a custom-designed pasta drying rack. Both chefs wanted their own prep sink on the island complete with a garbage “shoot” which we concealed below sliding cutting boards. A second and overwhelming requirement was storage for a large collection of dishes, serving platters, specialty utensils, cooking equipment and such. To meet those needs we took the opportunity to get creative with storage: sliding doors were designed for a coffee station adjacent to the main sink; hid the steam oven, microwave and toaster oven within a stainless steel niche hidden behind pantry doors; added a narrow base cabinet adjacent to the range for their large spice collection; concealed a small broom closet behind the refrigerator; and filled the only available wall with full-height storage complete with a small niche for charging phones and organizing mail. We added 48” high base cabinets behind the main sink to function as a bar/buffet counter as well as overflow for kitchen items. The client’s existing vintage commercial grade Wolf stove and hood commands attention with a tall backdrop of exposed brick from the fireplace in the adjacent living room. We loved the rustic appeal of the brick along with the existing wood beams, and complimented those elements with wired brushed white oak cabinets. The grayish stain ties in the floor color while the slab door style brings a modern element to the space. We lightened the color scheme with a mix of white marble and quartz countertops. The waterfall countertop adjacent to the dining table shows off the amazing veining of the marble while adding contrast to the floor. Special materials are used throughout, featured on the textured leather-wrapped pantry doors, patina zinc bar countertop, and hand-stitched leather cabinet hardware. We took advantage of the tall ceilings by adding two walnut linear pendants over the island that create a sculptural effect and coordinated them with the new dining pendant and three wall sconces on the beam over the main sink.

The dance studio at my Waters Edge Project has a full sprung wooden dance floor. Two walls are fully mirrored with the one long wall fitted with ballet barres. The ceiling had to be at such a height that one can do a high ballet lift comfortably. We installed roller blinds as well that can cover the mirrors for when my client wishes to do still photography shoots in this space. The dance studio is fully kitted out with audiovisual equipment for taking video's, editing and sound for choreography. Lighting had to be carefully selected so as not to have any dark spots when photographing or taking a video of a dance routine.

This amazing vanishing edge overlooks a beautiful lake and the spa is handicapped accessible! the beautiful symmetric waterfalls on each side accentuates the rustic look of the architecture of the house! The tile that was selected is quite unique as it displays a huge variety of different shades of browns and blues to match those waterfalls!
