Ancestry in Zinfandel by Shaw Floors. Elegant and upscale, Ancestry presents the look of white-filled white oak, with an ultra-matte wire-brushed finish and texture inspired by European oil-rubbed floors. The sophisticated collection offers sawn face styling with long, linear grain and limited knots, while the low gloss gives that hand-done, oil-rubbed appearance.

Bathroom - mid-sized tropical bathroom idea in Miami with flat-panel cabinets, dark wood cabinets and an undermount sink

Once upon a time, this bathroom featured the following:
No entry door, with a master tub and vanities open to the master bedroom.
Fading, outdated, 80's-style yellow oak cabinetry.
A bulky hexagonal window with clear glass. No privacy.
A carpeted floor. In a bathroom.
It’s safe to say that none of these features were appreciated by our clients. Understandably.
We knew we could help.
We changed the layout. The tub and the double shower are now enclosed behind frameless glass, a very practical and beautiful arrangement. The clean linear grain cabinetry in medium tone is accented beautifully by white countertops and stainless steel accessories. New lights, beautiful tile and glass mosaic bring this space into the 21st century.
End result: a calm, light, modern bathroom for our client to enjoy.

The two windows flanking the portico of shelving were treated as part of an entire composition, giving this wall in the room the necessary preeminence that it was lacking.

Rift and quarter sawn hardwood is stronger than plain sawn, and shows linear grain patterns that lend themselves to a more contemporary look.

We incorporated the existing half-moon shaped window into the tile layout and it is a stunning accent. The waveline glass tile backsplash is also accented in the shampoo niche and helps complete a cohesive look. The soft linear grain on the porcelain wall tile is subtle, yet creates a relaxing feel in the space. By swapping out the old dingy bathtub with this fantastic deep Jacuzzi tub it is begging for someone to take a nice relaxing bath in it. To keep the consistent look in the house the same night light affect was used by floating the cabinetry and adding under-cabinet lighting.

This Master bath features sleek gray Emser porcelain tile with a subtle linear grain and a fun pop with the matte black, herringbone pattern stripe that carries through the bathroom floor into the shower. The brushed nickel Moen plumbing fixtures and frosted glass upper window add to the cool, as do the West Elm ombre pendants and white quartz counters.

Simple & Elegant Wall Unit built in Espresso Rift cut Oak, Maple and polished chrome. Rift cut Oak has a very linear grain that telegraphs through a stained finish. I introduced the smooth surface of the Maple to give the eye a rest and the chrome base to accentuate a floating feeling by reflecting the floor. The A/V cabinets are framed in with a continual beveled top that dictates the angles of the floating shelves and crisp crown top. The reveals separating the doors and drawers are repeated and evenly placed in the large TV panel. They playfully mark the placement of the flat TV and echo the matching bar we built a few feet away on the adjacent wall.

Castlewood Oak in Hearth by Shaw Floors.
The Castlewood collection has an abundance of the natural charm that makes wood floors so desirable. Creating its stunning character are stylish 7 1/2" widths, extremely handsome linear graining, and sawn face veneers that closely resemble solid hardwood. Castlewood's colors are visually rich - with the beautiful knots, mineral streaks, and natural splits seen in heirloom woods. Heightening its appeal is a very low-gloss finish, which calls to mind vintage European oil-rubbed floors.

Fir cabinetry, with natural finish was selected partly because that was the type of wood trim used around the great room windows, which was the part of the house we did not tear down. The linear grain in fir is beautiful and ages well, not to mention keeps the space light

A Spanish alabaster linear chandelier defines this moody modern dining room, suspended above a richly grained dark wood table to create a warm, intimate lighting experience. The elongated fixture introduces calm horizontal proportion while softly illuminating the dining surface with balanced ambient light.
Cream-toned alabaster shades diffuse a gentle glow against greige architectural wall paneling, while the antique-toned copper connectors add sculptural refinement and subtle contrast. The interplay between luminous natural stone and deep wood textures enhances the atmosphere of quiet luxury and considered material layering.
Designed for contemporary dining spaces, penthouse interiors, and design-led residences, this linear chandelier demonstrates how proportion, tone, and material harmony can transform everyday dining into a spatial ritual.

Walking into the new family room feels like a dramatically different experience. An impressive and much-needed entertainment center expands the width of the seating area.

The cabinetry is wood look of thermofoil with a textured grooved linear graining. These are topped by upper cabinets in a smooth gloss white, which adds a sense of lightness to the space. The star burst fixtures add a fun detail.

Constructed from premium 16-gauge stainless steel for strength and performance. Elkay’s exclusive Perfect Drain adds to the seamless look and feel of this sleek sink. The luminous linear grain of Lustertone Iconix is resilient against everyday scratches for lasting beauty.
