Leon's Timbre Series bookshelf speakers are handcrafted out of solid hardwood and can be customized to match any space. Inside the left cabin, the cedar framing and birch plywood is left exposed to give the "cabin" or "jungle outpost" look. The pipes on the left are just PVC pipes with 1.5 to 3" adapters to function as the "voice catchers", one child speaks inside one end and the other child listens in the other. An office grade magnetic board with trim spray painted in brown finish off the inside. Eventually we will built a bookcase/toy storage shelf underneath the stairs, to take advantage of that wasted space.

Beginning with a large open rolling lawn area, this pool environment was designed to meet the demands of large scale entertaining. I began developing the design by walking the property and carefully listening to my client’s needs and wishes. I have worked with this client before, and when she decided to address the living room and asked for my help I was thrilled. She wanted to keep the piano in the space, so we added the framed botanical prints to add color, variety and height to this wall. Opposite this wall is a beautiful window that had dated custom curtains. We changed the treatment to more modern panels on an exposed rod with rings. It frames the window out while balancing the piano and prints. For seating, we added these two beauties, upholstered in a casual gray texture. The space provides a quiet retreat, or a gathering spot to listen to music.

In the brightest part of the living area, facing the roof windows, the Frog armchairs by Living Divani, designed by Piero Lissoni, introduce an informal and airy idea of relaxation. Their essential frame and low seat make them perfect contemplative chairs, from which to take in the domestic landscape composed by sofas and tables. Next to the Frog armchairs, the Sumo armchairs – again by Piero Lissoni – bring a more sculptural and enveloping presence, with generous volumes and armrests that invite a more classic, cocooning pause. Upholstered in dark leather, they create a refined contrast with the light sofas, visually linking the convivial heart of the living area to the more private corners dedicated to reading or listening to music.
