New Phoenix area smoke and crystal shop needed help creating their retail lounge design concept, but wanted Adorn to help bring their style to life. Adorn Interiors provided a color consult, space planning, design concept, created custom display cabinet designs, customized lighting layout, ceiling redesign, accent/focal wall design, integrated a water feature for enhanced Feng Shui and Zen aesthetics and provided brand and logo branding and placement services for this amazing client. In the fall of 2021, this unused space was reimagined and turned into the Good Place HomeBar. The concept of creating a home bar came first then came the name that was so fitting! In early 2020, a young tech couple and their four adorable kitties moved into this 5-bedroom residence in Cupertino, CA. The residence has a beautiful hillside Spanish architecture, although it needed a lot of updates due to its age. This is where Ty Karges Home was hired to help with turning an unusual landing space, where the cat castle playground used to be, into a home bar. Due to spatial constraints, Ty had to measure every inch of the space to ensure that every piece of furniture that she brought in maximized the number of seats and accommodated a full bar while leaving enough walkway to maneuver around. It was a challenge to outfit a full bar. A slim profile custom IronAbode wall shelf helped to ensure that every inch of the wall space was utilized for storage. Another unique custom piece is the waterfall wood-epoxy counter height table that was made to exact dimensions to ensure the flow within the space. With intentions, we also incorporated modern industrial iron work details that seamlessly blend in with the existing Spanish architecture. Aesthetically, we combined a lot of nice with a little bit of naughty. Hence, we named this space the Good Place HomeBar after the couple’s favorite comedy series! You may notice the custom logo on the sign to the right of the bar. What these images do not show here is that this space can really host a party when we ask Alexa to lower the schumacher-trimmed custom roman shades and all the Philips Hue lights to change colors to the music. The kitties of course still love to hang out in this space. Not to worry, the sectional is made of a performance fabric. The rug is also washable.

During home visits we can bring samples, take measurements, and make design changes on laptops showing you what your kitchen can look like in the very room being renovated. This is more convenient for our customers and it eliminates the expense of staffing and maintaining a larger space that is open to walk in traffic. We pass the significant savings on to our customers and so we sell cabinetry for less than other dealers, even home centers like Lowes and The Home Depot. We believe that since a web site like Houzz.com has over half a million kitchen photos, any advantage to going to a full kitchen showroom with full kitchen displays has been lost. Almost no customer today will ever get to see a display kitchen in their door style and finish because there are just too many possibilities. And the design of each kitchen is unique anyway. Our design process allows us to spend more time working on our customer’s designs. This is what we enjoy most about our business and it is what makes the difference between an average and a great kitchen design. The Don Fuego Dispensary interior design captures the vibrant essence of Día de los Muertos with a contemporary twist, creating an immersive and culturally rich experience for visitors. The space is characterized by a bold combination of traditional Mexican elements and modern aesthetics, blending authenticity with a moody, sophisticated atmosphere. As you enter, custom arches inspired by traditional Mexican architecture frame the space, their curves softened by the rich texture of black limewash on the walls. The deep matte finish of the limewash evokes a sense of mystery and depth, perfectly contrasted by the vibrant orange Roman clay accents, which add warmth and echo the festive tones of Día de los Muertos. The floor is a standout feature, designed with epoxy that mimics the swirling effect of smoke, giving the sensation of walking on mist. This unique texture adds an ethereal, dreamlike quality to the space, reinforcing the moody and mystical ambiance. At the heart of the dispensary is a custom-built checkout counter, designed to blend seamlessly into the aesthetic with its sculptural form and hand-crafted details. Behind the counter, custom LED signs illuminate with soft, glowing light, displaying Don Fuego's logo and thematic phrases, all in a style that mirrors the playful yet reverent nature of Mexican art. Murals adorn the walls, celebrating the artistry of Día de los Muertos, with intricate, colorful depictions of alebrijes, marigolds, and traditional imagery, all carefully integrated into the overall design. These murals not only serve as striking visual focal points but also as a tribute to the cultural significance of honoring the dead. To complete the atmosphere, moody lighting casts soft shadows throughout the space, enhancing the deep hues of the limewash and clay walls. This creates an intimate, almost otherworldly setting that invites customers to explore, linger, and enjoy the sensory experience that is Don Fuego. The overall design balances celebration with sophistication, making Don Fuego a modern-day altar to culture, creativity, and the spirit of Día de los Muertos.

This Mosaic subway sign is a replica of The beautiful Wall St Subway sign and can be made on mesh to be installed in a tile wall. Its size can be adjusted and should ideally be 48 by 14 inches but it can be adjusted. This design can be used for any writing. Please let me know if you need particular lettering or numbers and I am happy to make a mock design for you. Otherwise I am happy to make it as is. The mosaic is on mesh for installation and packed in a custom wood box for safe travel with extra tile pieces in case needed during installation. Once grouted the hand cut mosaic is like a tile wall and can be cleaned and maintained as such. It takes roughly three weeks for the mosaic to reach you depending on the size of the mosaic from when you order. All my mosaics are cut by hand. Mosaics can be custom made for size and color and can also have any writing or number you choose. I can also create any logo , pattern or artwork with mosaic. I can create any design and any size of mosaic. For large mosaics even full floors, they can be sectioned and packaged and shipped in sections. These can be put back together and grouted over.
