Artsy + Airy Open Concept Living - Working with an open concept space can have its advantages...spaces often appear larger, lots of natural sunlight, great for entertaining. However, often times, the caviot is that you have to commit to a concept and keep it cohesive throughout, which can present some challenges when it comes to design. Collectively, the entry, dining, living and kitchen were all open to the centered stairwell that somewhat divided the spaces. Creating a color palette that could work throughout the main floor was simple once the window treatment fabric was discovered and locked down. Golds, purples and accent of turquoise in the chairs the homeowner already owned, creating an interesting color way the moment you entered through the front door. Infusing texture with the citron sea grass-grass cloth wall covering, consistent with the fireplace/TV combo, creating one focal point in each space is key to your survival with an open floor plan. Inspiration for a timeless bathroom remodel in Charlotte

In this contemporary bathroom, we eliminated the bath tub to expand both the closet and the shower, creating a 7x4 shower. We also upgraded the vanity, doing 2 sink bases with a large drawer bank and tower. We paired Kitchencraft Textured Shale slab cabinets with a Cesarstone Quartz top, a Marazzi Vesta Gray floor tile set in a pinwheel pattern, and Design Materials Provenza W-Age 6x24 tile in the shower paired with American Olean VIsionaire accent tile. We used Kraus Ilusio brushed nickle faucets, and Delta shower trim, including a rainhead, 4 body sprayers, and a detachable arm. FOr the vanity lights we used the LBL Oliver series, and paired it with a Chandalier from Varaluz.

This Master Bathroom in Norfolk received a complete gut, expansion and renovation. Through our Design Build process these homeowners worked with in-house designer Jason Hoffman to create their dream master bathroom retreat. When designing, Jason was able to offer ideas on how to gain square footage, ultimately adding a walk-in shower. Complete with a custom double vanity and beautiful tile work by Marshall Tile & Marble Company, this has been one of our favorite transformations to date. See the before and after photos below as well as some 3D renderings approved by the homeowners prior to construction. Our team both designs the renovation AND performs the work. Our talented carpentry crew and trusted subcontractors perfectly executed a design on paper to a well laid out, oasis retreat.

An incredible antique figural pier mirror, originally found in the Belmont Mansion of Nashville, TN. Dating from 1873, the gilded mirror is crowned with a female bust; the sides of mirror feature beautiful carvings in high relief with understated Neoclassical motifs. Pier mirrors were typically used in the reception rooms of 19th century homes and placed on a wall between two windows that supported an upper structure. The substantial mirror measures 132-3/4" tall, 43-3/4" long and protrudes 7-1/2" from the wall. NMI33
