ABOUT: This handy wall-mounted spice rack is created out of a French Oak wine stave from wine barrels in the Napa Valley. It's adorned with fourteen powerful rare earth magnets that are strong enough to hold multiple spices, sea salt, or office supplies. The metal tins are USDA food safe with clear lids so you can easily see what you've stored inside. TECHNIQUE: Each spice rack is first sanded smooth to eliminate splinters but not too much that it removes the beautiful red wine stain. Then, it gets lightly sanded and finished with butcher block oil to protect and bring out the natural beauty of the French Oak wood grain. Please note that there will be a slight variation in color due to the type of wine that was made in each barrel. DIMENSIONS: Approximately 28" L x 4" W. We also include "ready-to-display" mounting hardware so it's easy to install. Our customer wanted a unique way to close off the mud room from the family room and chose to go with reclaimed chestnut which has a great patina. The door is 1 1/2 inch thick constructed with chestnut on both sides and finished in a Z cross brace pattern. This is a beefy door with heavy duty rollers and forged slide adding to the character of the door.

Inspiration for a transitional carpeted living room remodel in Phoenix with beige walls, a standard fireplace and a tile fireplace

This bedroom and full bathroom are part of an adventuresome project my wife and I embarked upon to create a complete apartment in the basement of our townhouse. We designed a floor plan that creatively and efficiently used all of the 385-square-foot-space, without sacrificing beauty, comfort or function – and all without breaking the bank! To maximize our budget, we did the work ourselves and added everything from thrift store finds to DIY wall art to bring it all together. A partial double closet bar adds a little extra space while still leaving room for longer hanging clothes.

This room belongs to a little girl who loves horses and surfing. It was a 10 x 10 x 10 blank canvas that the parents wanted to keep simple but maximize storage so that it could grow with their little ones tastes and needs. To accomplish this we did white built-ins to the ceiling and added a trundle bed for sleep overs. The colors were pulled from the Ikat quilt the little girl picked out.
