A year after doing the backyard, the owners asked us to do a front yard renovation. We created a new walkway to the front door, added a generous landing pad to the cup de sac, and matched the lantern posts used in the backyard entry.

This is an example of a landscaping in Boston for fall.

No house is complete without a lantern at the end of its drive to illuminate the night. The Walpole products featured in this installation are an Oxford Post topped by a Classic Lantern.

A 43” diameter heritage pecan guided the plan of this neighborhood-scaled, modestly-priced, single-story, L-shaped house. In Austin’s seemingly perpetual drought, the goal was to create a symbiotic relationship between house and tree: to complement, not combat each other. The roof’s east/west parallel ridges create a valley directly across from the base, where water is collected at a grate, nourishing the tree. The roof also maximizes south facing surfaces, elevated at 15 degrees for future solar collection. The open, public spaces of the home maximize the north-south light. The private zone of the bedrooms and bathrooms include a generous gallery; its angled walls and large sliding doors are faceted about the tree. The pecan becomes a central focus for indoor and outdoor living, participating in the house in both plan and section. The design welcomes and nurtures the tree as integral to its success. This 30-year old, private residence was in dire need of an update. The goal was to create a sense of arrival to the home and add columns to the entry and a matching mailbox. The project also included new windows, window moldings, front door, lighting and an inlaid tile floor. The design truly brought this home into the 21st century.

An outdoor environment custom designed for privacy on one side and a view of the lake on the other. With family activities in mind a terrace, pool and spa, and putting green all find their way into this landscape. Gardens throughout are abundant and colorful, in a cottage style, framed in stone. Mid-sized traditional one-story brick exterior home idea in Dallas

This 1875 Victorian was in bad need of painting. Here you see the house painted in conservative yet original paint colors. This work was performed graphically and the client received many color combinations to decide from. This house also needs new steps, railing, and lattice.

Allium are wonderful pops of color that are unique to other types of annuals/perennials.
