Inspiration for a mid-sized modern master gray tile and porcelain tile porcelain tile bathroom remodel in Houston with a vessel sink, flat-panel cabinets, medium tone wood cabinets, marble countertops, a two-piece toilet and white walls

This Master Bathroom was outdated in appearance and although the size of the room was sufficient, the space felt crowded. The toilet location was undesirable, the shower was cramped and the bathroom floor was cold to stand on. The client wanted a new configuration that would eliminate the corner tub, but still have a bathtub in the room, plus a larger shower and more privacy to the toilet area. The 1980’s look needed to be replaced with a clean, contemporary look. A new room layout created a more functional space. A separated space was achieved for the toilet by relocating it and adding a cabinet and custom hanging pipe shelf above for privacy. By adding a double sink vanity, we gained valuable floor space to still have a soaking tub and larger shower. In-floor heat keeps the room cozy and warm all year long. The entry door was replaced with a pocket door to keep the area in front of the vanity unobstructed. The cabinet next to the toilet has sliding doors and adds storage for towels and toiletries and the vanity has a pull-out hair station. Rich, walnut cabinetry is accented nicely with the soft, blue/green color palette of the tiles and wall color. New window shades that can be lifted from the bottom or top are ideal if they want full light or an unobstructed view, while maintaining privacy. Handcrafted swirl pendants illuminate the vanity and are made from 100% recycled glass.

It features 10 feet ceiling, Subzero, Wolf appliances, Restoration Hardware lighting fixture, Altman plumbing fixture, Emtek hardware, European hard wood windows, wood windows. The California room is so designed to be part of the great room as well as part of the master suite.

This homage to prairie style architecture located at The Rim Golf Club in Payson, Arizona was designed for owner/builder/landscaper Tom Beck. This home appears literally fastened to the site by way of both careful design as well as a lichen-loving organic material palatte. Forged from a weathering steel roof (aka Cor-Ten), hand-formed cedar beams, laser cut steel fasteners, and a rugged stacked stone veneer base, this home is the ideal northern Arizona getaway. Expansive covered terraces offer views of the Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish designed golf course, the largest stand of Ponderosa Pines in the US, as well as the majestic Mogollon Rim and Stewart Mountains, making this an ideal place to beat the heat of the Valley of the Sun. A mix of matte black, brushed brass and brushed nickel finishes compliments the multiple layers of luxurious finishes throughout this master bathroom suite. His & Hers stained walnut furniture-style vanities with matching mirrors and storage line the space, leading the eye to the beautiful freestanding bathtub.

5. Dimension When it comes to design, vertical dimension, or the available space from floor to ceiling, is key. You can place curtains closer to the ceiling to make a room look much larger than it would with window treatments covering just your windows. When it comes to designing a closet, take advantage of all vertical space so that you not only get more storage, but you also open up the area to create the illusion of more square footage.

Inspiration for a transitional home design remodel in San Francisco

The goal of this project was to upgrade the builder grade finishes and create an ergonomic space that had a contemporary feel. This bathroom transformed from a standard, builder grade bathroom to a contemporary urban oasis. This was one of my favorite projects, I know I say that about most of my projects but this one really took an amazing transformation. By removing the walls surrounding the shower and relocating the toilet it visually opened up the space. Creating a deeper shower allowed for the tub to be incorporated into the wet area. Adding a LED panel in the back of the shower gave the illusion of a depth and created a unique storage ledge. A custom vanity keeps a clean front with different storage options and linear limestone draws the eye towards the stacked stone accent wall. Using light flooring in the form of natural lime stone 12x24 tiles with a linear pattern, it really draws the eye down the length of the room which is what we needed. Then, breaking up the space a little with the stone pebble flooring in the shower, this client enjoyed his time living in Japan and wanted to incorporate some of the elements that he appreciated while living there. The dark stacked stone feature wall behind the tub is the perfect backdrop for the LED panel, giving the illusion of a window and also creates a cool storage shelf for the tub. A narrow, but tasteful, oval freestanding tub fit effortlessly in the back of the shower. With a sloped floor, ensuring no standing water either in the shower floor or behind the tub, every thought went into engineering this Atlanta bathroom to last the test of time. With now adequate space in the shower, there was space for adjacent shower heads controlled by Kohler digital valves. A hand wand was added for use and convenience of cleaning as well. On the vanity are semi-vessel sinks which give the appearance of vessel sinks, but with the added benefit of a deeper, rounded basin to avoid splashing. Wall mounted faucets add sophistication as well as less cleaning maintenance over time. The custom vanity is streamlined with drawers, doors and a pull out for a can or hamper. A wonderful project and equally wonderful client. I really enjoyed working with this client and the creative direction of this project. A new start to a journey with a fresh remodel– that’s how our Minneapolis homeowners chose to embark into their retirement journey. What previously had been two small closets was converted into the owner’s newly added on-suite. With an addition to the side of the home creating more room in the owner's bedroom, the hope to incorporate a second bathroom in the upper level was within reach. A pocket door was installed to eliminate wasted space, and allow access to the marbled tile shower. The former closet window was replaced, now ensuring privacy of the bathroom and allowing natural light to shine onto the Jeffrey Court tiles that fill the space. The custom vanity, built by Trademark Wood Products, is a beautiful focal point upon entering. By integrating wood panels, the vanity wall becomes a built-in piece, a furniture item one may have found in the home’s original era. The two sided fireplace is above the bathtub in the bathroom and at the foot of the bed in the bedroom. The wall is tiled on both sides and the archway into the bathroom is tiled also. A traditional looking faucet with a hand sprayer was added. The drop in tub is classic white and the tub deck is tiled.

Custom cabinetry, mirror frames, trim and railing was built around the Asian inspired theme of this large spa-like master bath. A custom deck with custom railing was built to house the large Japanese soaker bath. The tub deck and countertops are a dramatic granite which compliments the cherry cabinetry and stone vessels.
