If you're having trouble deciding on what is the right amount of masculine for a couple's master bath, look no further. This bathroom renovation that we worked on with Slotegraaf Construction is a fantastic specimen for looking at how you can balance masculine and calming interiors. With a double sided fireplace you can always feel the cozy warmth in both sections of the room, and when you cover it in some gorgeous ledge stone can always experience the rustic feel of raw stone. Covering the entire back wall where the sinks and cabinetry are reflects that same feeling each morning and night. The soft yellow hue of this master bath is quite different from the designer grays of recent and it's actually quite a nice change of pace. Bathrooms are pretty fun places for you to spice up the color in your home and this one has done a great job of that. The ultra creamy porcelain tile on the floor (which carries into the bathroom) is in a matte finish and it really yellows up the room in a very classy way. Especially when it comes to transitioning from the hardwood in the master bedroom to the tile of the master bath, an excellent job has been done here in marrying up two very complimentary colors. Every inch of this 4,200-square-foot condo on Las Olas—two units combined into one inside the tallest building in Fort Lauderdale—is dripping with glamour, starting right away in the entrance with Phillip Jeffries’ Cloud wallpaper and crushed velvet gold chairs by Koket. Along with tearing out some of the bathrooms and installing sleek and chic new vanities, Laure Nell Interiors outfitted the residence with all the accoutrements that make it perfect for the owners—two doctors without children—to enjoy an evening at home alone or entertaining friends and family. On one side of the condo, we turned the previous kitchen into a wet bar off the family room. Inspired by One Hotel, the aesthetic here gives off permanent vacation vibes. A large rattan light fixture sets a beachy tone above a custom-designed oversized sofa. Also on this side of the unit, a light and bright guest bedroom, affectionately named the Bali Room, features Phillip Jeffries’ silver leaf wallpaper and heirloom artifacts that pay homage to the Indian heritage of one of the owners. In another more-moody guest room, a Currey and Co. Grand Lotus light fixture gives off a golden glow against Phillip Jeffries’ dip wallcovering behind an emerald green bed, while an artist hand painted the look on each wall. The other side of the condo took on an aesthetic that reads: The more bling, the better. Think crystals and chrome and a 78-inch circular diamond chandelier. The main kitchen, living room (where we custom-surged together Surya rugs), dining room (embellished with jewelry-like chain-link Yale sconces by Arteriors), office, and master bedroom (overlooking downtown and the ocean) all reside on this side of the residence. And then there’s perhaps the jewel of the home: the powder room, illuminated by Tom Dixon pendants. The homeowners hiked Machu Picchu together and fell in love with a piece of art on their trip that we designed the entire bathroom around. It’s one of many personal objets found throughout the condo, making this project a true labor of love.

This spa like master bath was transformed into an eye catching oasis featuring a marble patterned accent wall, freestanding tub and spacious corner shower. His and hers vanities face one another, while the toilet is tucked away in a separate water closet. The beaded chandelier over the tub serves as a beautiful focal point and accents the curved picture window that floods the bath with natural light.

The master bath had been recently renovated and needed to flow with the newly designed master bedroom. Contemporary artwork ties the two spaces together with color and texture. An Indian mother of pearl inlay table, French style bench and global inspired accessories further capture the exotic elegance vibe of the master suite.

The master bedroom has a gorgeous view to the lake. We really wanted a comfortable, yet refined approach to the space. The large headboard with low profile surround worked great for the bed – a bigger footboard would have been too distracting. The clean bench was just enough filler for the large space between the bed and TV area. We love this sofa with a cut-out in the middle. How perfect is that for lounging without cutting off the view? Soft linens, light colors with touches of that "lakey" blue really make this master feel spa- or resort-like. As usual, we changed the ceiling fan to this awesome light fixture.
