Inspiration for a transitional enclosed carpeted family room remodel in Boston with white walls and a wall-mounted tv

The 3 bathrooms in this 1970's house were in serious need of remodeling - as in gut and re-build - so the owners decided to have them all done at once and while at it, refinish the floors, refurnish the living room and furnish the new screen porch addition. As a designer in a seasonal resort area, I am accustomed to working with my customers long distance. Using (and e-mailing) computer drafted renderings, product layout pages very professional builders, suppliers and steady communication, my client and I moved flawlessly through the challenges all remodel projects present. My goal was to find fabrics and furnishings that reflected the home's original architectural Mid Century Modern integrity The house has very strong horizontal lines that I wanted to repeat in the furniture, bathroom fixtures, tile and light fixture selections. Completely remodeled this bathroom to create a modern look with tile from floor to ceiling. Rough end includes a Schulter System heated floor and a Neo angle Schulter shower. Pluming consists of a touch screen thermostatic control for operating the shower. The control unit is hooked up through the attic with a router and computer to constantly check for updates and maintenance. Finish end includes Shiloh frame less cabinets with quartzite tops. Garage door style Robern medicine cabinets with electrical set up for accessories or a lat screen TV. The latest in electrical control panels for lighting by Legrand Adorne collection.

Bedroom - mid-sized traditional master carpeted bedroom idea in New York

Close your eyes, and imagine…You just finished Thanksgiving dinner – all the fixin’s surrounded by friends and family in your new Demlang home. In this kitchen with Zodiac quartz countertops, Kohler Vault stainless sink, and a pull-out Tournant faucet, you’ll make short work of the dishes. Leftovers are quickly stashed away in the Bosch French door stainless refrigerator, leaving you to enjoy the again clean island, adorned by a hand-scraped birch soffit with industrial pendant lights. Gather in the great room and gaze up at the soaring ceilings with rustic beamed treatment, unbuckle your belt a notch and let the food coma kick-in while the tranquil flames dance in the Heat & Glo corner gas fireplace. As the ritual game of Sheepshead is kicked off in the rustic covered retreat, the bargain hunters browse ads preparing for the big shopping day. The kids land in the Command Center, playing computer games while dishtowels and linens are washed in this multi-functional room. All you can wonder is when everyone is going home – leaving you to retreat to your master suite, thankful you only have to host once a year! Black Friday arrives, and the aroma of fresh brewed coffee fills your master suite. As you sip coffee in your mirrored dressing room, you make sure your Black Friday yoga pants look just right. Who says life has to be stressful!

Designed by Catherine Neitzey of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Fredericksburg, VA in collaboration with Heritage Contracting Services, this transitional style inspired two-finish kitchen design features Merillat Classic Tolani Maple Kona and Merillat Masterpiece Montresano with Aged Picket Fence finish cabinets. The bathroom also features Tolani Maple Kona cabinetry. The kitchen includes an Imagery Glass Mosaic 3x6 in Rain material Glass GM07412 tile backsplash. “We walked into Reico without an appointment, because 2 friends highly recommended them. We were warmly greeted by Cat, even without an appointment,” said the client. “Cat listened, and then pulled out samples as she guided us patiently through the process. She brought to our attention a cabinet larger than the actual area in our plan. We were able to adjust before it was ordered. Her guidance, suggestions and attention to our likes and dislikes proved to be invaluable.” “This project was remodeling a basement to add to a multi-generation home with an eye on creating a space to enjoy,” said Cat. “I hit it off with the client right away, meeting prior to selecting a contractor which changed the dynamic of our roles for the duration of the project.” The client added, “One of the best services Reico provided was computer generated visuals. It helped us see what the overall look would be. The kitchen and bathroom are beyond our expectations. We love the look and the flow!” “We changed the wall cabinet color as the space started to come together with all of the supporting selections made,” said Cat. “The Aged Picket Fence painted finish with its artisan random distressing contrasts the contemporary base cabinets and glass tile in the best way. Melissa and Steve purchased our National Award Winning Green Certified Remodeled Home. They had moved to Colorado previously to expand Business opportunities, but found that they missed being near their extended family members and Melissa’s native city and state. They wanted a home in a quiet neighborhood that suited their needs and had been updated to current design trends and amenities. With 2 young children a single-story home appealed to them. Steve primarily worked from home, using the formal Living Room as his home office which was central to the Kitchen and main living areas. As their children grew, it became increasingly difficult to With 4 children, their daily activities were split between the 1st and second floors, making it difficult to coordinate activities amongst them. Also, with a large extended family close-by, get-togethers were cramped and uncomfortable. With the added 1st floor living space, they are now able to all comfortably gather together and spend more quality time with their family and friends.
