It was only a matter of putting their personal stamp on it with an emphasis on outdoor living to suit their evolving lifestyle with grandchildren. That vision included a natural screened porch that would invite the landscape inside and provide a vibrant space for maximized outdoor entertaining complete with electric ceiling heaters, adjacent wet bar & beverage station that all integrated seamlessly with the custom-built inground pool. Aside from providing the perfect getaway & entertainment mecca for their large family, this couple planned their forever home thoughtfully by adding square footage to accommodate single-level living. Sunrises are now magical from their first-floor master suite, luxury bath with soaker tub and laundry room, all with a view! Growing older will be more enjoyable with sleeping quarters, laundry and bath just steps from one another. With walls removed, utilities updated, a gas fireplace installed, and plentiful built-ins added, the sun-filled kitchen/dining/living combination eases entertaining and makes for a happy hang-out. This Ipswich home is drenched in conscious details, intentional planning and surrounded by a bucolic landscape, the perfect setting for peaceful enjoyment and harmonious living

Designed and built by Terramor Homes in Raleigh, NC. The inspiration behind the Farmhouse design began in an attempt to blend a mix of vintage farm style with classic and rustic salvaged warmth, together with modern and clean lined design elements. At the other side of the shared master bed/bath wall, is the master bath; Here Mitra designed a space that is very carefully designed and thoughtful. As you enter this area to the right is a very dramatic long end-to-end natural thick cherry wood top with live edge wood which was sourced locally. On top of this wood top an egg shaped sink which itself was selected to further enhance the artful concepts of the sculptural architectural presentation of this room; along with a finished ‘floating’ wall panel that gives this space the elegance it deserves. Below this sink is series of storage drawers and directly across the shower is an open cubby to place bath towels. Same as the master bath area, linear lighting was placed below the floating cabinets for added soft night lighting. Above the sink is a polished chrome wall faucet to keep the wood vanity top simple and clutter free. A modern lighted mirror was selected and installed above the sink and two smoke glass pendants were suspended on both sides of the mirror - These pendant lights were selected because it poetically suggested water drop while providing additional light in the room, making it a perfect choice for this relaxing bathroom. - Photo credit: Susan Teare

Lakefront living is not often luxurious and conscious of size. The “Emmett” design achieves both of these goals in style. Despite being ideal for a narrow waterfront lot, this home leaves nothing wanting, offering homeowners three full floors of modern living. Dining, kitchen, and living areas flank the outdoor patio space, while three bedrooms plus a master suite are located on the upper level. The lower level provides additional gathering space and a bunk room, as well as a “beach bath” with walkout access to the lake.

The master suite enjoys breathtaking views of iconic Camelback Mountain and a beautiful custom fireplace. The homeowners made a conscious decision to keep TVs out of the bedrooms, instead relying on plush furnishings and luxe textiles to set a relaxing mood. Although the large walk-in closet has plenty of storage for two, not all items need live in a closet. We sourced a wall-mounted dresser featuring linear leather drawer pulls to keep an uncluttered and streamlined look. The artwork features fly ties on handmade paper sourced from a boutique in Narrowsburg, NY.
