This stately townhouse underwent a full renovation from both the DHD Architecture and Interiors team to provide a young family with rooms to grow into. Spaces were updated with contemporary furnishings and refined architectural details, while still honoring the classic, formal elements of the historic home. The expansive outdoor space is framed by the dining area’s floor to ceiling windows and bold window treatment. DHD’s interiors team aimed to transform the room into an inviting and livable space for the family, designing a custom kitchen banquette and using playfully bright, warm color tones. While the master bedroom keeps to a soft, muted palette incorporating deep shades of purples, the children’s rooms are extravagantly fun, complete with fuchsia bedding and oversized Lucite table lamps. Lather • Rinse • Repeat! The master bathroom won the Honorable Mention award for Best Bath in the 2016 Lancaster-Lebanon Parade of Homes. It has a separate toilet room for additional privacy. The walls and ceiling are painted in Sherwin Williams Morris Room Grey with a flat finish (SW0037). The trim is painted in Sherwin Williams Shell White, Painters Edge Gloss (PE2100051).

Located on a picturesque setting on Lake Minnetonka, this lakefront home masterfully balances contemporary and traditional sentiments, striving not to design to either extreme. With team collaboration intentions to combine both form and function — and an eye on simple, beautiful and comfortable solutions, this relaxed elegant design approach honors lakeside living that permeates the residence. This Streeter home also blends in beautifully with surrounding classic lake homes that are reminiscent of timeless architecture and craftsmanship found in Europe and Nantucket. The design inspiration for this project was largely influenced by the architecture and time period of the home. The home was built in the early 1900s, and the aesthetic of the bathroom honors that, the finish selections are a nod to the time period, but we also wanted to create a master bath that was both luxurious and has the function of 21st century amenities. We shaped the design to perfectly fit in the client's antique makeup vanity, and went with a monochromatic color scheme in order to create the illusion of more space.

When an Instagram follower reached out saying she loved our work and desperately wanted her bathroom remodeled we were honored to help! With Landmark Remodeling, we not only spruced up her bathroom, but her bedroom and main floor fireplace facade too. We threw out the ideas of bold color, wallpaper, fun prints, and she gave us the green light to be creative. The end result is a timeless, yet fun and a design tailored to our client's personality.

We transformed a Georgian brick two-story built in 1998 into an elegant, yet comfortable home for an active family that includes children and dogs. Although this Dallas home’s traditional bones were intact, the interior dark stained molding, paint, and distressed cabinetry, along with dated bathrooms and kitchen were in desperate need of an overhaul. We honored the client’s European background by using time-tested marble mosaics, slabs and countertops, and vintage style plumbing fixtures throughout the kitchen and bathrooms. We balanced these traditional elements with metallic and unique patterned wallpapers, transitional light fixtures and clean-lined furniture frames to give the home excitement while maintaining a graceful and inviting presence. We used nickel lighting and plumbing finishes throughout the home to give regal punctuation to each room. The intentional, detailed styling in this home is evident in that each room boasts its own character while remaining cohesive overall.

These homeowners told us they were so in love with some of the details in our Springbank Hill renovation that they wanted to see a couple of them in their own home - so we obliged! It was an honour to know that we nailed the design on the original so perfectly that another family would want to bring a similar version of it into their own home. In the kitchen, we knocked out the triangular island and the pantry to make way for a better layout with even more storage space for this young family. A fresh laundry room with ample cabinetry and a serene ensuite with a show-stopping black tub also brought a new look to what was once a dark and dated builder grade home. With a touch of glamour and a nod to historical European design, this stunning master bathroom remodel is the culmination of years of dreaming for this client who had meticulously researched and planned nearly every design detail she wanted to incorporate. Each element has a significance behind it and underscores the passion our client has for the Classicism period of design and we were honored to bring her vision to life. From the crown molding and fluted pilasters, to the Schonbek chandelier and sconces with Swarovski crystals, and subtle “aging in place” details that the untrained eye would never know were there, every inch of this beautiful space was designed with careful thought and love.

This growing family needed more crawl space, but love their antique Craftsman style home. An addition expanded the kitchen, made space for a primary bedroom and 2nd bath on the upper level. The large finished basement provides plenty of space for play and for gathering, as well as a bedroom and bath for visiting family and friends. This home was designed to be lived-in and well-loved, honoring the warmth and comfort of its original 1920s style.

In the Master bedroom, we've successfully transitioned from outdated desert decor to a contemporary style that still honors the room's original character. The use of mixing existing and new elements creates a warm, inviting atmosphere while maintaining a fresh, modern look.

Set upon an oversized and highly sought-after creekside lot in Brentwood, this two story home and full guest home exude a casual, contemporary farmhouse style and vibe. The main residence boasts 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, each ensuite with thoughtful touches that accentuate the home’s overall classic finishes. The master retreat opens to a large balcony overlooking the yard accented by mature bamboo and palms. Other features of the main house include European white oak floors, recessed lighting, built in speaker system, attached 2-car garage and a laundry room with 2 sets of state-of-the-art Samsung washers and dryers. The bedroom suite on the first floor enjoys its own entrance, making it ideal for guests. The open concept kitchen features Calacatta marble countertops, Wolf appliances, wine storage, dual sinks and dishwashers and a walk-in butler’s pantry. The loggia is accessed via La Cantina bi-fold doors that fully open for year-round alfresco dining on the terrace, complete with an outdoor fireplace. The wonderfully imagined yard contains a sparkling pool and spa and a crisp green lawn and lovely deck and patio areas. Step down further to find the detached guest home, which was recognized with a Decade Honor Award by the Los Angeles Chapter of the AIA in 2006, and, in fact, was a frequent haunt of Frank Gehry who inspired its cubist design. The guest house has a bedroom and bathroom, living area, a newly updated kitchen and is surrounded by lush landscaping that maximizes its creekside setting, creating a truly serene oasis.
