The homeowner is an avid gardener, and the landscape is constantly evolving as he puts his touch on the plants and new phases of the master plan are implemented.
Weathered basalt boulders form a staircase through a retaining wall made from the same material. A central landscape bed offers a sunny site to grow tomatoes.

The homeowner wanted to add square footage and implement an aging-in-place strategy that will enable her to live out her days in residence with dignified self-sufficiency. Specifically, she was seeking an updated family room and larger master bedroom suite. Additionally, she wanted to maintain the original intent of the Cape Cod style.
A 28’ x 29’ addition was split between the new family room and the new master suite. First, every doorway into the master suite was redone for better accessibility. The suite itself features a cathedral ceiling, skylights and recessed lighting.
The master suite bathroom has features a whirlpool bath, walk-in shower and double vanity. Grab bars and other handicap-accessible features are incorporated for aging in place living. A double-sided fireplace connects the master suite and the family room.

Susan Deveau DesignThis main bathroom has two entries - one from the master suite and one from the boys' bedroom. It needed to service mom, dad and two boys. Storage was key here and we brought it with a custom vanity design that the client had seen on Houzz. Implementing it on a slanted wall was a big challenge but the result is stunning. Same with the zero-entry shower. It took more planning than usual and I ended up using 4 types of tile in this space for interest. Rustic lighting and Moen faucets and hardware really finished off the space. The clients love it.

To accommodate critical plumbing placements, a wall was made extra thick and a vanity was installed with a unique depth. Relocated duct work, within one of the demolished walls, also required on-site design consideration and review to determine its location.
Every detail, down to the perfectly equivalent sconce locations, were specified and implemented to ensure a balanced and polished end-goal.

Regan Baker Design Inc.Hired mid demolition, Regan Baker Design Inc. partnered with the first-time home owners and construction team to help bring this two-bedroom two-bath condo some classic casual character. Cabinetry design, finish selection, furniture and accessories were all designed and implemented within a 6-month period. To add interest in the living room RBD added white oak paneling with a v-groove to the ceiling and clad the fireplace in a terra cotta tile. The space is completed with a Burning Man inspired painting made for the client by her sister!

Removed existing composite decking and rotting joist members and replaced with new Trex composite decking. Additional water proofing and rot prevention methods were implemented to preserve integrity of new decking system. Barret Outdoor Living white aluminum railing system installed with white solar post caps.
