Our clients were living with outdated, dark bathrooms in their newly purchased Falling Star home. The dull palette of warm neutrals did not reflect the couple’s East Coast traditional style. They noticed several renovation projects by JRP in the neighborhood. The professionalism and the process impressed them. After receiving a Pardon Our Dust courtesy letter from JRP, the couple decided to call for a consultation. Their wish list was clear. They wanted the Falling Star design to be light, airy, and white. It had to reflect their East Coast roots. Working with the original footprint, JRP completely transformed the space, creating a tranquil primary suite rich with traditional detail. The result is an effusive celebration of classic style. Now, the radiant rooms glow. To enlarge the primary closet, the JRP team removed a cluttered storage area. Inside, a separate dressing space is finished with upgraded storage and refined built-in cabinetry with recessed panels. Pops of glam such as Robert Abbey glass chandeliers and brilliant bits of chrome are moored by traditional elements like crown molding, porcelain tiles, and a quartz-clad drop-in soaking tub. Large windows in the primary bath and funnel skylights in the closet harness the natural light to stunning effect, sweeping the rooms with the cool feeling of fresh air. The “Sail Cloth” white paint adds soft depth to the uncomplicated elegance of both rooms. This client requested to design with aging in place details Note walk-in curbless shower,, shower benches to sit and place toiletries. Hand held showers in two locations, one at bench and standing shower options. Grab bars are placed vertically to grab onto in shower. Blue Marble shower accentuates the vanity counter top marble. Under-mount sinks allow for easy counter top cleanup. Glass block incorporated rather than clear glass. AS aging occurs clear glass is hard to detect. Also water spray is not as noticeable. Travertine walls and floors.

THE JASMINE: A 3BR/2.5BA open split plan that flows from the entry foyer through the open living area into the kitchen & dining area. The breakfast bar overlooks the living room creating the feel of more space. The private master suite has a luxurious bath with an oversized zero entry shower, jetted tub, separate vanities & a large walk-in closet. One wall within the master bath is covered in mosaic tile. The home also features wood floors, granite counters, and a large screened in patio with fireplace, office/computer room & much more. Creation of a new master bathroom, kids’ bathroom, toilet room and a WIC from a mid. size bathroom was a challenge but the results were amazing. The master bathroom has a huge 5.5'x6' shower with his/hers shower heads. The main wall of the shower is made from 2 book matched porcelain slabs, the rest of the walls are made from Thasos marble tile and the floors are slate stone. The vanity is a double sink custom made with distress wood stain finish and its almost 10' long. The vanity countertop and backsplash are made from the same porcelain slab that was used on the shower wall. The two pocket doors on the opposite wall from the vanity hide the WIC and the water closet where a $6k toilet/bidet unit is warmed up and ready for her owner at any given moment. Notice also the huge 100" mirror with built-in LED light, it is a great tool to make the relatively narrow bathroom to look twice its size.

Being able to see the individual hardwood boards, including areas where the cracks are more pronounced, lends a nice character to the room.

This a a guest bedroom that is the size of most master bedroom. Notice how we popped out the wall with a cut out for the flat screen television. This makes the t.v. look built in, and gives the room a finished look. no unsightly wires and plugs are in sight due to this treatment. The pop out is wall papered in a wonderful pumpkin that keeps popping from the bed to the art work to the generous lounge chairs
