This glass block wall included a decorative tile row through one course of the blocks. In addition a barrier free ready for tile base was used to make this shower handicap accessible as well.

Addition off the side of a typical mid-century post-WWII colonial, including master suite with master bath expansion, first floor family room addition, a complete basement remodel with the addition of new bedroom suite for an AuPair. The clients realized it was more cost effective to do an addition over paying for outside child care for their growing family. Additionally, we helped the clients address some serious drainage issues that were causing settling issues in the home.

A typical post-1906 Noe Valley house is simultaneously restored, expanded and redesigned to keep what works and rethink what doesn’t. The front façade, is scraped and painted a crisp monochrome white—it worked. The new asymmetrical gabled rear addition takes the place of a windowless dead end box that didn’t. This client’s master bathroom had the typical massive tub deck and a tiny shower that they were ready to say goodbye to. We expanded the room into an under-utilized adjoining space allowing us to install a commodious custom glass double shower to help get this busy couple out the door quickly in the morning. As the wife does enjoy an occasional bath, an attractive free-standing tub was installed which returned space to the room formerly taken up by the tub deck. Accent painting, stunning quartz surfaces, and a beautiful wood-look heated floor finished out the room.

Take a look at the latest home renovation that we had the pleasure of performing for a client in Trinity. This was a full master bathroom remodel, guest bathroom remodel, and a laundry room. The existing bathroom and laundry room were the typical early 2000’s era décor that you would expect in the area. The client came to us with a list of things that they wanted to accomplish in the various spaces. The master bathroom features new cabinetry with custom elements provided by Palm Harbor Cabinets. A free standing bathtub. New frameless glass shower. Custom tile that was provided by Pro Source Port Richey. New lighting and wainscoting finish off the look. In the master bathroom, we took the same steps and updated all of the tile, cabinetry, lighting, and trim as well. The laundry room was finished off with new cabinets, shelving, and custom tile work to give the space a dramatic feel.

AHA designed this custom vanity and had fabricated locally from the same reclaimed beams we used in the master. The clean modern vessel sink and wall mounted faucet really pull this look together. Clean and modern but so warm and grounded with all of the natural wood accents.

The brief was to transform the apartment into a home that was suited to our client’s (a young married couple) needs of entertainment and desire for an open plan. By reimagining the spatial hierarchy of a typical Singaporean home, the existing living room was converted nto a guest room, 2 bedrooms were also transformed into a single living space centered in the heart of the apartment. White frameless doors were used in the master and guest bedrooms, extending and brightening the hallway when left open. Accents of graphic and color were also used against a pared down material palette to form the backdrop for the owners’ collection of objects and artwork that was a reflection of the young couple’s vibrant personalities. This project represents an increasingly popular type of project - combining 2 bedrooms into a single master suite. The house is a 1910 craftsman, with 4 bedrooms on the second floor. Typical of older homes, the master bedroom had a very small bathroom, and very little closet space. The owners decided to sacrifice an adjacent guest bedroom to create a spacious master suite. The new rooms include a large bathroom, with hers and his vanities, separate toilet room, custom tile shower and soaking tub. The extra space also allowed us to install a luxurious custom walk-in closet. Design Criteria: - Increase size and utility of closet space. - Create a large, luxury bathroom with distinctly separate hers/his spaces.
