This kitchen renovation consisted of a kitchen reface, where we updated the cabinets with an MDF Michigan door style in colour SW6251 - Outerspace featuring black handles. We installed a Quartzite Negresco Honed countertop with a granite sink in pearl black and a chrome faucet and drinking faucet. A white Teramoda tile was installed for the kitchen backsplash. Two pendant lights were installed over the peninsula and we replaced the ceiling light in the dinette area. Vinyl plank flooring was installed throughout the kitchen, dinette area, laundry room and hallway/closet leading to garage and baseboards were installed. The entire kitchen, laundry room and hallway area were painted. We also updated the ceiling fixture over the kitchen with pot lights.

We completed this Toronto condo bathroom renovation early 2024. Our client was looking to remove the old bathtub and convert the space into a walk-in shower while also gaining a small bit of storage space. So we constructed a narrow wall and milled a few MDF shelves for her on one end of the newly built walk-in shower. The shower pan was envelope cut and laid with a porcelain tile along with a linear drain instead of a traditional drain round or square drain. The rain head shower trim kit was plumbed along with a hand-held shower and thermostatic valve. The floating MDF vanity shaker cabinet was custom designed/built and coated in OC-90 Vanilla Ice Cream paint color by Ben Moore. The countertop is a white quartz topped with the lovely vessel sink and simple lavatory faucet.

HomeSource Builders completed the demolition and subcontracted the installation, under the expert guidance of Project Manager Corey Rogers. A striking feature, he relates, is the tiling installed by Mosaic Custom Tile. “In my opinion,” he said, “the tile setters really made the kitchen stand out with the clean lines and sleek look the clients were trying to achieve.” In addition to the backsplash tile, HomeSource installed the kitchen and bathroom cabinets as well as the kitchen and bath quartz countertops. It’s extraordinarily helpful when clients have well-defined goals. “These clients were ideal, and made my job much easier,” Corey said. “They were very detailed and knew exactly what they wanted.” Since the clients were renovating all bathrooms in the house, a challenge to overcome was phasing the project so that the client had a working bathroom at all times. This hurdle was easily overcome, though, with skillfully choreographed scheduling.
